Lets see... recap! Back/biceps Tuesday. Speed day Wednesday morning was garbage (saw the soon to be ex wife there, bleh, she wasnt cordial this time. Ruined my mood. I just want to be happy. Her too.). Played full court from 6-1030. Sheesh. Quad cramped at 1030 when I came down the lane and went to dunk. Planned a big 2 hander... planted and the right quad said nah. Ended up barely getting a 1 hander basically jumping off a weird ass psuedo single leg plant lol! Much stretching. Thursday was deadlifts. Failed at 475 for a single? But got a 4x2 at 445 and a 315 for 10 then moved on to BSS and assy work. Weird. Did some hip thrusts at the end. 135 for 12 paused. Need to work on glute activation. Hit chest andnahoulders sunday (wow... been a while lol). Then squats last night

BW: 183lbs

BS: bar x12, 135 x8, 225 x5, 315 x3, 365, 405, 425.
405 x2
405 x1
385 3x2
315 x8

FS: 225 x3, 275 x2, 295, 315, 295 3x2.

Stepups, calf raises and leg extensions with a ton of core work. Finished with paused hip thrusts at 135 again.

Not bad.

Back and core on Tuesday then hooped Wed at 185lbs (eek). Hyper extended my right elbow slightly in the first game :( Hand would randomly go numb for the next hour. Made shooting fun and painful. So I drove a lot. Had a 2 hand put back and a 1 hander on a kid. Felt bouncy for 185. Tossed a few lobs and was getting up decently so I attempted my first ever double up.

Legit. Scary. AF. lol! Only tried once and I probably should have ahd the kid stand up a little more but he said he was 5'8" so i was like... mehhh. Got hung on the rim. Someone got video I think lol!

Skipped speed work after wards. Probably will do that today since Indont believe pulling heavy deadlifts with the elbow sore is smart.

We have very similar strength levels but you are 40lbs or so lighter than me... makes me wonder if I could actually jump and not feel like I'm glued to the ground if I lost some weight... haha anyways good work as usual man. I'm very curious to see that dunk video.

Yup. One of the guys took a vid on his cell! Sorry if the quality is crap :( I think...THINK... that with some practice and better positioning I might be able to pull this off. Wayyy easier to time than a lob btl and I obviously can get up higher than of the dribble.

Leonel, dude, stsrt a cut and try it! I feel crazy different going from 182-184 down to 175!

I most probably will at some point in the future. Right now I'm putting all my focus on weightlifting and it's hard or almost impossible to increase strength while in a caloric deficit.

Still lifting. Seemed to have stalled on squats at 405x2 Bs and 315 x1 fs. my lower back is giving out on the fs. Legs have the power it seems. Going to switch it up a little. Desdlifted today.  475x1 top single. 445 5x2 and 315 x12 along with some core and BSS 185 2x6 esch leg. Cut it short to hoop. FINALLY boomed a mill off glass. No one got vid butnthey wanted to see if i could hit my head on the backboard after the windmill lol! So we videoed that and another jump before I did some drills.  Going to eat and then go do accessory work.

Probably? Im not an endomorph and I dont think im an ectomorph although i was super lean/skinny when i was younger. I graduated at 155-160lbs from high school. Had never touched a weight at the time but since I have id lean towards being a meso due to structures?

And thanks man. I figured around 45" maybe 46" at best. I jeed those other 2" lol (thats what she said!). I need to start dunking a lot more. My run up and speed were garbage but the landing was so easy. Normally from that height i collapse a lot more.

Lets see... squatted Monday morning. 5 405 singles and 315 for 8 back squat. fs was up to a 315 single and then 3x3 at 275. Some calf work and core work but took it easy volume wise because we were hooping at night, didnt want to be too fatigued. Played like shit the first 3 games (5v5 full). Its like my subconscious knows i did legs so my body holds back. Well... someone talked some shit after the 3rd game about teams being uneven and no one beating the team that was winning... mistake. I came alive. Locked down the other teams best player. Zero points. and dropped 12 of our 15 points (by 1s/2s to 15 win by 2). Drives. Stepback 3s. NBA range pullup on the break....it was dirty even by my standards. Last game was more of the same but had a nasty crossover>hesi shot fake move into a layup that had my guy on one knee 😆.

Hit back/biceps/core today at 3pm. Then went to the court at 730 (closes at 830) just to get some shots up. 2 games of 2v2 then dunked for about 8 mins at the end. Recorded it and Im about to watch it.

I may just upload it raw and unedited. Its just over 7 mins long but shows the 'warmup' then some dunks and finally 2 jumps if you guys wanna see how a normal (shortened) session goes (in terms of warm up/breaks/misses lol/etc). Any interest or edit it down?

7 mins of a few dunks, some misses, some jumpers, a little messing around with the handle and me just being me. Enjoy!

If you watched it all I should have hit the pump reverse and that windmill was probably the 'easiest' so far in terms of effort.

Ok weird week... Had that dunk session on Tuesday...

(shorter highlight clip)
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyBU4Lopik0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyBU4Lopik0</a>

... and felt GREAT. Come out Wednesday and try to loosen up and knee is KILLING ME. Crunchy. On fire. Just painful. Hang it up. Wake up Thursday and can barely bodyweight squat without pain. WTH. Skip leg day obviously and just stretch periodically. Wake up today and... it feels fine? Can BW squat easily? So i go lift back and biceps and warm up the knee with lightweight leg work (REALLY LIGHT WEIGHT SMH) and immediately drive to the gym to hoop some. Feels good. About to leave and a 6'7 and 6'2 guy ask me to dunk with them. I thought he was recording it (we went for about 20-25 mins hard!) but he was livestreaming on IG. Well... I hit this windmill and I had to take a video of his livestream on my phone because....

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u74q_2lYddk" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u74q_2lYddk</a>

That HAD TO BE ON VIDEO! So hyped up! Was so close to a few eastbays and 360s i can taste it!

Edit: In other news im in a black pants gray shirt mood apparently this week lol

Meh. The sweats and extra tee over my shorts and cutoff only weigh about 2lbs according to the scale and they keep me sweating. Theres no damn way i could fit kids compressions lol! My quads and glutes dont even let me fit a mens medium (which is what im supposed to wear according to waist size). I actually rarely play in compression anymore. I may bust out some pro combat gear this week.

Battled small depression last week... bounced back on Monday some. Quick recap. Hooped some. Have a couple meh dunks in vid I'll prolly throw together. Cant remember Depression week squats lol but on Thursday i deadlifted and dtruggled at 475 x1 so instead of 445 5x2 I did 425 x2,x2,x3,x3,x5. wth? The BSS 225 x3. Ok. I'll take it. Decided to swap back to a little more volume.

Monday:
warmups to a 425 single. then 2 405 singles and a 5x5 at 335. Not bad. FS to a 315 single then 3x5 at 225 and 1x12 for speed at 135. Not a bad workout. Bw at 180.2lbs. Trying to hit some speed work later.

Did back work Tuesday. And hooped so I skipped Wednesdays speed work.

Thursday:
BW: 181.8lbs.

Deadlifts: warmups to a single 475 pull.
5x5 at 425lbs. 1st set...last rep. Tweaked back. Successive sets much easier.

Skipped everything else because back was sore and I decided to pick daughter up early.

Good thing. Spinal erectors are fried. All from the ONE rep. I knew it too as it happened. Ugh. Heating pad currently then im going to hit the gym and get some blood flowing to the area and see if it helps. 5x5 was strong tho!

Quick update: something had to happen smh. Got down to 178lbs while maintaining strength, very explosive and hoops were going well. So my knee gave out. Strained MCL and partial tear of the medial meniscus. 2 weeks off so far and improvement is slow. Sucks not being able to do legs. Physical therapist is hoping Im only out for another 4-6 weeks. Bah. Motivation to come back is already gnawing at me intensely. 😡
