Early morning bball: made ~125 shots, hard for me to count exactly as I always think about what I did wrong after I miss so I lose count a decent amount

nice. you shoot by yourself or do you have someone feeding you the ball?

get one of these and click it every 10 shots, then multiply by 10 at the end.. i've never done that but, dno, could work! heh

I shoot by self normally since my workout partner randomly quit.. but before that shooting with a partner and playing one on one was a big plus.

I might look into getting one of those things if my memory worsens.  thanks!

shit i forgot about ab rollouts. thank you for the reminder.

ETA: also, those dunks pretty much all looked submax. what does it look like when you try to get up off two without the ball and with a full arm swing?

Well at one point I was touching a few inches above the top of the white box of the backboard, but I don't think I'm there right now.  I'm not sure exactly what it looks like! I'll have to tape it soon.  Any tips on taking it from a submax looking jump to a "max"?

Today:

step ups w/ 40 lb db's 2x3 each leg

band shuffles

125 makes. Dunks were solid. Got some on vid.  Couldn't quite land the windmills yet so not on vids.  Could tomahawk again Going to play fives at different gym in a little. I guess they changed their time slot at the first one.

5 on 5 went alright.  Got the first two wins while playing a good all around game doing just about everything.  Lost the third in a close one.  And the fourth I got a awful team,  was dog tired and incapable of taking over

It was a solid showing for not having played in awhile.  Can't be too happy or upset over it.

nice!

are you purposefully trying not to crush that rim? for example, out of respect for that facility/gym? looks like you could rip that hoop off of the wall.

get mad, growl (bite down and grr), big deep breathes prior to runup - similar to how you would before a max squat, and when you dunk try to thor hammer the rim right off the backboard :f

most of the time it's really just a change in mindset.. trying to create some violence in the run up, jump, and finish (dunk). you're embarking on a fight with gravity so.. if max effort jumping/dunking is your goal for a session, bring the aggression.

that was my approach.

pc!

basically what adarq said. i also tend to "shake" when i'm getting hyped for a max effort whatever, kind of vibrate my head and neck and let the energy from that travel down through my body. kind of hard to explain. also i slap myself in the butt, thighs, and chest sometimes.
