LOL... I'm not sure if we have a center like that ANYWHERE in our entire country.

tuition and fees for georgetown university, 2013-2014 academic year: $44,986. that doesn't include living expenses. where i went it's now $41,198 for an out-of-state student, which i was. it was more like $37,000 when i was there. if you're charging that much for school, you better have great facilities. because you can be damn sure all the other schools competing for the same students are putting in fancy stuff.

US student loan debt is nearly $1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion). but hey, great gyms!

American universities (especially division 1) have stupid athletic centers. I live 20 mins from University of Tennessee and their student rec center is huge. Don't even ask about the football or basketball facilities...they're nicer than some pro teams I've seen. Ughhh.

yeah man. ours were kind of old at michigan -- the buildings were old, anyway -- but they were huge. the intramural sports building had a big rock climbing wall in it. don't remember ever seeing an oly lifting setup, though. slackers.  :uhhhfacepalm:

not in america, baby. worked out at georgetown's gym last night. indoors, they have:

-a huge weights and cardio machine area
-a pool
-a table tennis area with 4-5 tables
-two full-length basketball courts and four half-courts
-a 200m track
-3-4 tennis courts
-squash and racquetball courts
-etc.

where i went to college we had three gyms like that, but bigger. and that's just for genpop. the scholarship athletes have nicer facilities.

Yo, I'm like 30 min north at University of Maryland. Gym's are NICE.

I'm at Oxford so there are two sorts of gym. The uni gym which is fairly well equipped but is a 30 minute bike ride from me which I just can't foresee myself bothering with frequently enough. Each college has its own gym(s). My college's gym has some rowing machines, some stationary bikes, a lat pulldown and dumbbells up to 15kg. Not so good. So I signed up for a gym nearby which is as good as I'll get without accepting a silly transit time.

Cold will hopefully gone in morning. Don't like being stuck in house evenings.

Feeling mostly better now

Chins
BW x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 // Just going for max power
+10kg x 7, 7, 6 // Weaker than last time but that's to be expected after being ill I suppose

BB Row
40kg x 8
60kg x 10, 10, 10 // Cheated the last couple of reps on the last two sets, rest were fairly strict

DB Row
34kg x 13, 12

Lat Pulldown
50 x 12
45 x 12

Seated DB OHP
18kg x 10, 11, 9

At which point I began to feel really shaky and headed home. Decent workout but a little weak.

Squat
70kg x 4, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 // Speed work
90kg x 3
100kg x 1 Paused
105kg x 7, 7, 7

RDL
60kg x 8
100kg x 10, 10 // Need straps my poor feeble hands...Also forearm fatigue from yesterday

Leg Curl
25 x 10
35 x 12, 12, 12 // Love the pump from this

Leg Extension
15 x 10
25 x 15
35 x 14
45 x 12 // Eh seems totally pointless, will do like BSS or something instead

Notes: Worked in with a huge Russian guy for squats, but he was only doing 70kg. When I went up to 105 he looked kind of sad/confused. Lol, he seemed reasonably lean for his size so I'm confused about how he isn't way way stronger.
