look upstream. glute minimus and hamstrings can refer pain down. especially glute minimus. forgive the huge image, but:

Silly ( or not so much ) forum tip of the day:
When you press the image button, the height and width are detected and written. For example in the above image it says 'img width=480 height=676'
So you can adjust the size,  just need to keep the proportions. Using 1/2 or 1/3 for both is what i do. No accuracy needed, small skweness is ok. Easy, 480/3=160 , 676/3 ~= 220, replace the values, done.

Thanks Vag, In a related story I have been neglecting my hamstrings. I have had good luck smashing them on a barbell in the past, need to get back at it.

Motivation is low, but still pushing.

My lower back is super perfect now, It is hard to remember that it was ever a setback at this point.

good couple workouts this weekend. little more weight on the back squat, feeling locked in and solid lately.

getting back to some solid reps at 225 has been the sort term goal and I feel like I am closing in.

yeah i worked out both days this weekend and felt dead both days, didn't even force myself to lift. time off, heavy eating, too much sleep, too much booze (especially saturday night, i drank way more than i'm used to -- not a huge amount but it's rare these days for me to have more than three drinks on a weekend night). you'll get back into the groove.
