^^^^ no straps. Started using chalk recently and it has helped a lot. I have the grip strength of a school girl.

Progress is slow, not a-lot of gas in the tank lately. Tonight I felt good through warm ups, but good reps in the 245-250 range in the squat rack was not happening.
Aside from being a bit on the chubby side, I am feeling good, nothing nagging just diet.

I was well rested today and felt more explosive then usual but was not focused on making progress. 250 went up easy-ish.

With as much room for improvement as I have I just need to get my mind straight.

 Compiled the short list of work I have put in lately. Seems like I have played basketball at least twice this month, and got under the bar a couple of times. Just been trying to maintain the last few years. The last six months I can't even seem to do that. Motivation to improve is at a low point. Life has me constantly distracted.

My short term goal is to at least lift once a week, play ball and try to shake this funk.

Keep at it mate. I went through a similar time earlier and even just getting in the gym once or twice a week is enough so you're not too far away when the motivation returns.

alot of us on this forum have left training for extended periods of time.. it's definitely smart to try and get in at least 1-2 sessions per week, because your motivation will return at some point, that's pretty much a guarantee. obviously easier said than done.  :ninja:

I feel motivated when I can't lift and then when I can, not so much. go figure.

Played basketball three days last week, which has been feeling better lately. This weekend I have had a headache constantly and didn't get a chance to lift until sunday evening. To my surprise, weights were super solid. Deadlift's @ 275 were the best yet.
Next week I will probably only get in basketball once. Weights every 7-8 days have been refreshing.

Dragging this month. Need more mobility work. Getting time that I can focus my mind to lift has not been available, so weights have gotten super sloppy. Planning on resetting and getting a 5x5 routine in more frequently.
