BODYWEIGHT- 91.5KG

SORENESS-
Quads
Calves/Achilles

TRACK-
Stretch/Warm Up

1x300m- 44.4 seconds- This felt pretty good. Initially I didn't feel that fatigued. 2 minutes later I was feeling it though.
15 minutes recovery
1x300m- 45.6 seconds- Not as good as the first rep. I had lactic in my glutes and hamstrings but it wore off after 10 minutes (not that I'm in the shape to do another 300 though). My lungs were feeling it as well.

I've got a love/hate relationship with 300's but I'm going to persist with them.

GYM-

I slacked off and just had a quick session of front squats.

Front Squats-

40x4
60x4
62.5x4x3

The squats felt easier today. Muscle memory no doubt.

I'll go to the gym tomorrow and do some back and core work.

I had my ultrasound done today of my Achilles. Overall it was good news. Obviously there is some swelling but there were no tears that appeared on the ultrasound. There was also no calcification (hardening) of the tendons so it will be able to improve with conservative treatment.

Good news. What does that mean for your training?

It means I don't have to take any time off running. I'm still not going to be doing speed work until it improves a bit more but it means I'll be able to train consistently and not have to worry about rupturing it. I'm keen as to run again today but I'm just going to go to the gym instead and run tomorrow.

are you gonna start doing any achilles- or calf-specific stuff? like eccentric calf raises, for example.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

Yep. I've already been doing them several times a day. I went on google and researched a lot of physiotherapy stuff/watched youtube videos of how to perform them and various exercises etc.

Nice. At least you can keep training.

BODYWEIGHT- 91KG

Soreness-
Achilles/Calves- My right leg is improving a lot. It's really mainly just my left leg now, which is the problem. No tears as mentioned but it's still a bit swollen. Just got to keep rehabbing it.

TRACK-
Stretch/Warm Up

1x200m- 28 seconds
6:30 minutes rest
1x200m- 29 seconds
7 minutes rest
1x200m- 31 seconds FOR FUCK SAKE!

I'm still struggling with that 3rd rep but once again my recovery times were reduced by 30 seconds. My fitness is slowly improving.

15 minutes rest/walk around

1x100m didn't time but it was just a medium intensity effort.

GYM-

Front Squats-
40x4
60x4
65x4x3

Sit-Ups-
20x1
19x3

Nice. Where do you live if you can do track work now in the Winter? Australia?

Adelaide in Australia so it's summer here. Apart from being cold I could also train in the winter as well if I was motivated enough because it never snows in my city and it doesn't rain very much either (I live in the driest state in the driest continent on earth).

Damn... I like rain, a lot. So peaceful and makes you wanna sleep too. Plus the smell in the air is so good.

I would hate to live where you are.

Yeah I don't mind the rain during winter but now that I'm running again I hope it stays away ;D

BODYWEIGHT- 91KG

SORENESS-

Calves/Achilles- Not as bad as a couple of weeks ago.

TRACK-

Warm Up/Stretch

1x300m- 43.9 seconds
15 minutes rest
1x300m- 47.1 seconds shit. Cruised for way too long and didn't push myself enough over the last 100m.

Blocks/Starts-
3x10m
2x25m

I train at the Enfield Athletics Club and there were a bunch of U18s doing blocks so I joined in. I was talking to the coach and he's trying to get me to run for them but i'm too out of shape atm so I said maybe in a couple of months when I lose some more weight.

GYM-

Front Squat-

40x4
60x4
67.5x4x3
60x5

Sit-Ups-
20x4

Chin Ups
6,5
Assisted Chin-Ups
7

Apart from the 2nd 300m being fkn shit it was another decent session.
