170904 Weekly Squat on Monday ( i hope i can squat more)

Squat rack was occupied, so I did some oly hi pull at each side 10 lbs 2x5 and 25 lbs 2x5. Not sure if i am doing it right no more, I try to Shoot the bar up with humping (and people said humping is bad)

The Rack is available, and went to squat from 25lbs and work up to 5x5 at (45 45 25) 275lbs.

Not hard at all, hope this wont affect my knee.

Update: I just checked my Log history, 275lbs 5x5 was what Broke me down when i resumed training. I hope i am ok this time.. and with that said. i should not be lifting 275lbs any more.. it is too light.

Lunch time went to gym to do circuit training.

170905 rain in the morning but sun came at lunch
Went to jump and dunk training for 45 min... landed zero dunk. but getting a bit closer than last time.

Scooby that was awesome! You and Kingfish are my role models on this site tbh.

nice!

Quote
Both have reached 40in whether SVJ or RVJ....

You can definitely dunk, it's a matter of something very small or different that will get you over the hump and throw it down legit.

ya I agree, he's been high enough to dunk for sure, and he's very close right now.. it's almost similar to LBSS in that, high enough to dunk, but harder because can't palm the ball and lobs are tough. LBSS crushed a bunch that flew out & had tons of great jumps with bad lobs, eventually he landed his good ones but he was also at his peak RVJ at the time too (IIRC). I think scoob is in a similar situation right now, but definitely has been before with his peak RVJ.

he's going to get it done fairly soon I imagine .. i think he knows he needs to just stay at it and keep pushing. hopefully the new vert coach won't change things up TOO drastically tbh. Scoob still needs to lift to maintain strength, and get a few hard jumping sessions in per week, and eat clean.

I contacted the Vertical Jump Coach from Taiwan, and going to pay him a monthly fee to get personal training and guide.

:-X :-X

if it's that MIC dude, i recall him being pretty knowledgable .. not 100% sure though.

170911 Monday Jump Practice
I did 5x5 squat on a Sat morning at 3 big plates ie. 315lbs
the last reps is always sort of slow.

Did not jump over the weekend, and also did not squat monday morning.
Went to jump at lunch. and still feeling a beat tight and sore... so could not really get any good result.

The MIC dude is from china.. and he does not really teach.. (he is more like a artist and work with a team of dunker to tour around china whenever NBA star come to Asia to visit)

on the other hand, this is the dude from taiwan that i am talking to.. i still had not pay him a dime yet, as there is issue with paypal and my bank account doing transfer.
i knew him since 2012 where he is a internet vert trainer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXTtkiVqLgI

since then.. he had transform himself to be a vert coach with continuous education and working with client from different spectrum (Taiwanese pro baller, kufu master and etc.).
He dunked at 2012..and sort of stopped jumping while he is coaching people.. but recently ... he decided to do it again.. with his new knowledge and training technique (including Olifting)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEh_rP7wg-M

I should get my payment done fast... my age is getting older.

btw.. i am just fooling around at the low rim.. there is no way in hell i can ever dunk on a 10 foot in the near future. Infact.. I should go back to 10 foot and make some video...

this constant jumping over the low rim getting close to dunking... keep my hopes up. but I need to also remind myself... this is not a 10 foot.

How high was rim?

i think u need to jump more relaxed and confident. U seem a bit too frantic when u jump.

agree. also you need to grease a groove a bit more scoob. you've been there in the past but in this vid you're taking so many little choppy steps. get that t0ddday method back in action. only add a step when each new one adds height.

170919 How i Start this week
Monday Morning... not able to wake up.. with bad sleep Monday Squat session skipped.
Monday Lunch. went to Jump at rim 3 with out ball.. because i have a site meeting after lunch. so i wont be carrying a ball around with me. Without ball I manage to jump more in a shorter time.
and started for have knee issue the next morning.
Monday Night. 200m x 8 Doing this for my 6 yrs old girl friend. She will have a 800m race in OCT 2. So I am training her... I ran the first 100M beside her... cheering her. and Blast the last 100m... so i guess it is not hardcore HIIT like i did before.

Tuesday Lunch. Went to Upperbody Circuit Training. My arms looked bigger.... like inflated. I dont like the look of it.. I look fat/big like juice monkey... this also make me look slow...
sort of look like this..

btw, Oct 21 will have a swiming relay with my gf again... just 50m free style. I want to not just look good. I want to help her win. Need to stuff in some water session somewhere along the way.

Thanks for the video Fast does Lie.

Side Note:
So i finally sent some money to the twainese coach. I sent a total of 128 USD. but guess what.. for some Fark Tard reason... he only recieved 86 USD at the end of the day.
nearly 50 USD is being used as service fee (among 3 different bank, My bank, his bank, and a 3rd party bank form US know as the Dutch bank...)

I asked my bank How to estimate service fee, and her answer to me is, It is different every time, a different bank is selected every time, and NOT predictable.
WTF are u kidding me. this is like I will fuxk u any way i want and u wont know how long i will f u.

I need a better method of transferring money oversea. This is ridiculously stupid.

It seems paypal is not popular in taiwan... at a personal level at least.
will need to figur out some other way to make payment.

anyway. here is my first submission to the coach:

Quote
Info for Coach Andy:
Weekly Time Available for Training Schedule for coach program plan:
   Morning Lunch Night
Mon 800-900 FullGym 1300-1345 Smallgym / Ball court (1900 Running with my girl)
Tue 1300-1345 Smallgym / Ball court
Wed 800-900 FullGym 1300-1345 Smallgym / Ball court (1900 Running with my girl)
Thu 1300-1345 Smallgym / Ball court
Fri 800-900 FullGym 1300-1345 Smallgym / Ball court (1900 Running with my girl)
Sat 800-900 FullGym (I work every 2nd Sat)
Sun 800-900 FullGym (could be longer session if needed)

Facility:
FullGym - Gym with machine and squat rack, does not have space for Plyometric
SmallGym - No Squat rack, Have dumbell only and some cable machine
BallCourt - with large area include park bench
Running – at the street with Straight path or go to the track

Tools and Gear avaliable:
JumpSole
Medicine ball (20lbs)
Power Jumper by Jump USA
Resistance Training Band (short and long)
Balance board
Long and Short Foam Roll
Massage ball x2
Massage Peanut ball (big & small)
Yoga Block x3
(Box for Box jump is NOT avalaible)

Current Training Schedule:
Squat at least once a week 5x5 at 315lbs (with warm up and some olimpic hipull)
Jump at least once a week at lunch (2 if possible)
Upperbody Circuit Training SmallGym at least once a week (2 if possible)

Run twice a week with my girl (Prepare for 800m Race on Oct 2 and 1km race at Oct 22).
Is not a Max effort for me, just trying to train her, so may be I run the 100m at 90% effort. Or i will run the 200m with the first 100m slow, and the last 100m faster at 90% effort. (unlike before, where I run crazy at 100% x 10 reps, I am, just trying to lose more fat and hoping to hit 2 bird with 1 stone, train her and lose fat) It is not Necessary for me to run. This is just to train her, I can be doing other thing myself if needed by coach.

I am having trouble getting good sleep, even when I sleep at 2230, I often wake up at 330am and stay up till 430 almost every day. I have to wake up at 630 as my girl need to get up for school at that time.

Diet, I try to eat less carb, half a bowl of rice for dinner, and i often skip lunch as I train at lunch. I do eat a big breakfast, often consist of small pcs of beef and egg.. and some time pork with tomato spaghetti.

I will film myself doing some demo jump later at lunch:
- Stand still leap
- Paused Jump
- 2 step Leap
- Full run up

170920 Once a week morning squat
5x5 at 315lbs (with warm up and some olimpic hipull) in 44 min

here is the submission
not a good jump today indeed.

goodluck with the new coach scoob.

if i were your coach and you paid me to train you to SVJ 40" (89" reach, to dunk) i would have kept it very simple:

1. full squat your way to a 2.25BW+. good form. not a PR. something u can do weekly for many weeks.
2. veins in the lower abs lean.
3. good jumping volume. preferably double hand dunking on a lowered rim.

when you can do these and still can't dunk, ill pay you for your wasted time. ;D

for some motivation on your dunking:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDScwmqe1kk

edit add: so you know i back up my recommendation. 2.5BW. about the same time as these dunk vids

170922 2nd video submission to coach 1rm Test
Leg is still tired from Wed 200mx8 sprint with my girl... ( it is only like a 75% effort sprint... I did try to sleep early and foam roll my quad the day before the test. But I found out before the test, my hamstring is sore... must be because of the run.. i never have sore ham from jump or squat before)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dowO7f1RbEg

Not to mention i was able to do over 405 before...
well.. a test is a test. and that is the current me.

Hello I’m in HK right now, just wondering if you know where there are lower rims?
