So I had one of the weirdest dreams ... ever? Here it goes:

I was living through some of the "end times", in the future. I looked out my window and some sort of pink, luminous bright sphere was launched from one of my building's window, that did a strange noise. Nobody knew what that was, but it was some sort of alien creature/device. Somehow, you could "feel" the humanity was about to be wiped out.

As an effect, a lot of women (neighbors) were topless, with their tits out. Some wife of a neighbor (which doesn't exist in reality) was topless, with a coat on just for "effect", with him at the window, like waiting for the end of the world to happen.

I live at the 10th floor, so I came, no pun intended, to look at the window and see what's going on. Also did mom and dad. Mom wasn't topless, by the way. We go to the window, we look out, and there he is, a childhood friend was on his back, in the snow, with his wife that was topless, in front of my building, looking "high" or crazy because the end of the world was about to happen. Next to them, another couple (unknown). Similar stuff going on in the next building to us, some neighbor with his wife at the window, her being topless (yet each of the women still had a coat on, which they will pull over their tits from time to time, in "shame").

And every now and then, these pink bright alien things were launched that did some noise initially. They were very fast, I'd say about 3 times or so the speed of a normal airplane (they looked like fireworks being launched but they were either alive or were some kind of devices/spaceships of some sort).

Then I go back and think "WTF is happening, what is all this".

Lo and behold, I find a book written by JJ Redick about mathematics and calculus, and one of my math teachers that was a neighbor (which is now dead) combined somehow with Richard Dawkins told me "wow, JJ Redick is so smart, he wrote a book about these advanced mathematics topics".

And there's other stuff I can't remember exactly now... I think it's about my crow - I forced her to leave outside and then she came on one of my windows and hid there, and I caught her again. Apparently, my crow also evolved to a "human level intelligence" and probably all the animals on the planet, at that point.

Crazy, crazy shit, I still feel so weird after this dream. I put my clock to wake me up at 20:45, it woke me, I stopped it, and now it's 21:22 and all this time (more or less) I dreamed about this thing, being between sleeping and being awake.

I wonder how long that dream actually lasted. Could have been a few seconds or minutes.

I actually have a course on sleep, 24 lectures long (12 hours). I will check it out soon, it's one of the most interesting subjects (sleep phases etc).

another weird dream last night.. walking through the city, very desolate.. then I get to this fork in the road, but, it's pitch black.. you can't see where either road leads.. so I pick the left route, just dead trees everywhere, but still can barely see, even with a flash light. then out of nowhere it leads to someone's back yard. I'm actually fenced in, in their yard, and come upon a wooden gate.. so i open the gate and as i walk out, i'm in this really well off community that has x-mas lights and ornaments everywhere. so i just walked around checking out the scenery.

i'm dreaming more lately it seems.. could be that i'm going to bed late, yet still getting an adequate amount of sleep. dno

When you said "I get to this fork in the road" I imagined an actual fork, you know, the kind that's used to eat with, that was "pitch black". So a black eating fork. lol

You should take some ZMA for more vivid dreams.

a few days ago:

weird coincidence, or nostradamus moment.

a few days ago I had a dream that I saw a bunch of white UFO's in the sky, which turned out to be kites.. the next day while walking, I saw this black thing hovering WAY up in the sky for some time, and as I got closer to it, turned out to be a black kite. i've never seen a kite flying that high, must have been some professional kite people.

edit: maybe it had something to do with the race/athletics talk.  :o

Kind of a stretch, lol.

I wrote a paper on "Precognitive Dreams" for my english class last year and the main scientific explanation for dream premonitions is the law of large numbers: Collectively human beings have so many dreams that there's bound to be occasional coincidental overlap between our dreams and real life. We forget most of our dreams, but a cue later in the day can cause us to remember one of our dreams if the cue was in the dream as well. This makes it seem like we have more "dream premonitions" than we actually do.

There have been some interesting case studies where people claim to have many dream premonitions in a short time period, which would refute the law of large numbers, but because of unreliability of study authors we can't draw conclusions.

Call me a delusional schizo, but I believe there's something more to dreams than what we can explain with science. At least our current level of science.
