squatted 345 with absolutely no psyche up and it was solid. not an absolute PR but for non-stim'd state that's a PR for sure. 1.95x bw with no stim. sweet.

I wonder if doing those high bar squats lately potentiated your quads or something.

Squats 60kg x 3 x 4   :personal-record:

 :ibsquatting:

Someone told me a way how i can keep my torso leaning forward when going up is to roll the bar back wrist extension and that should help, as my hips on the way up they go back and up leaving my torso and legs to do the lifting.

Hit a milestone, next mile stone is 90kg
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

Today was my first time jumping in over a year. Results were:
RVJ/2-steps: 80cm--> PR by 5cm
SVJ: 75cm -->PR By 7-8cm
Didn't do many max effort jumps.. got these numbers the first time I tried. Movement efficiency felt way off on the running jump. Also I'm quite bit heavier now(around86-87kg).
I wonder what I can do with a bit more practice and with less bodyweight (bf~13%)

So long..

It's not like this progress came out of the blue.. For the last 6-7 months I trained my legs in the weigthroom pretty hard and my lowerbody is probably stronger than ever.. But I trained mainly on the machines(leg press/leg curls etc.) because of my stupid shoulder, so I didnt expect that increase in strength to transfer so well into my jumping.

casual 295 x 3 on squat yesterday. did a few more doubles after.

"Performance during stretch-shortening cycle exercise is influenced by the visco-elastic properties of the muscle-tendon units. During stretching of an activated muscle, mechanical energy is absorbed in the tendon structures (tendon and aponeurosis) and this energy can subsequently be re-utilized if shortening of the muscle immediately follows the stretching. According to Biscotti (2000), 72% of the elastic energy restitution action comes from tendons, 28% - from contractile elements of muscles.

Shot some vid. I feel my training going in the right direction, gaining a little strength getting more explosive.

Fairly certain I got a PR today in the p clean. Pr for bw that is.

Edit/ might have to put in weight as well. 110kg @ 108kg bw. Going in the right direction again.
