In addition to the Labyrinth book I am listening to a podcast in the car of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It's a Chinese literary classic and I'm 28 episodes in out of around 150. It's a funny format to listen to a book in. Not an audio book as he gives his interpretation throughout but great as he injects comedy into the mix and also is able to pause and give reference and knowledge around topics that a non Chinese just wouldn't be aware of.

This is probably worth updating. Have read a few since my last post:

No More Mr Nice Guy- Dr Robert Glover (this was like a gut punch from Tyson- soooo many nice guy behavious I'm guilty of)
Rational Male- Rollo Tomasi (agreed with so much of this book- thought it would be more hardcore)
The Way of the Superior Man- David Deida (incredible read)

Reading:
Stress Less Accomplish More- Emiy Fletcher (going down a meditation rabbit hole)
Art of Seduction- Robert Greene (we all need seduction in our lives)

Interesting side note is that Ryan Holiday (Ego is the Enemy, Obstacle is the Way, Daily Stoic, etc) was a mentee of Robert Greene.

ChrisM:
Ohhh man. Curious to your thoughts on Rollo's books as well as Glover's and Greens. Those were a complete life affirmation for me!

Man I wish I had read these books 20 years ago.

Glover- this was a very uncomfortable read for me. It was also extremely enlightening and lifted a lot of weight off my shoulders at the same time.
Rollo- I went into this with fairly low expectations based on the RP community. Didn't expect it to contain such balanced, well thought out arguments. It's an absolute gold mine and obviously the parts geared towards married life caught my interest the most.
Green- I'm still working my way through The Art of Seduction (it's fucking massive) but can already see the benefits. So much applies not only to my marriage but all my relationships and my business as well.

If you haven't read it I would check out The Way of the Superior Man too. It's incredible and would probably top the list for me.

What were your thoughts?

Coges:

Only just started this. It's already changed how I talk to my kids and with surprisingly easy results.

This one requires some concentration for me. Taking a shit ton of notes but it's defintely worth it.
