- run 54:56, 10.40 km
hot again, annoyingly. T+DI 145. right calf cramping a little post-run, it felt fine until after i got out of the shower. will gently massage and stretch and hopefully it'll be fine by tomorrow.

For men:

If they often have sexual dreams (and i mean like several times per week) and filthy dreams, check for stomach bloating, mental fogginess, mood swings, trouble sleeping at night (maybe even insomnia), and constantly fighting with their wife over trivial matters.

what correlations do you notice in men?

had a dream last night that i finished the JFK 50 miler in 7:02, which in the dream was good enough for seventh place. (would have been 53rd last year IRL, i checked.)

- RDL 95 x 8,6,4
same issue with grip, forgot the ring again. bigger issue is that my grip sucks.

- flat calf raise 95 x 10,10

- alfredson calf raise 15 lbs x 6,6/leg

- misc
-- spiderman push up x 6/side
-- bird dog x 10/side
-- strict DB row 55 lbs x 10/arm
-- dead bugs x 10
-- assisted dead hang x 30s
-- maybe one or two other things that i forget

golfer's elbow-esque pain on left arm. very mild but there, need to be careful with grip and probably not be so blase about warming up.

12-10-26

Cardio x 52:36, 125 hr

Notes

kept running to a minimum. legs pretty sore from lifting sunday. feels good, if tiring, to be back on the am grind.  :ibrunning:

yep, pretty weird relative to have. that book sucks! i remember him mostly as a decrepit old man that we were forced to spend time with at christmas when i was little. he did have an indoor pool, though, which was cool.

lmao cracking up at this

- long run w/SubT 3 x 2.5 km, 1:36:46, 19.34 km
-- warm up
-- intervals @ 4:21, 4:16, 4:15 w/ 60s walking rest
-- cool down
raining and ~18 degrees, felt great although i was soaked. HR topped out at 159, i think i may be underrating the amount of climbing in the other interval loop i do. this one isn't flat but it's flatter.

ETA: after this run, i’ve run more in 2026 than i did in 2025. proud of that.

How could i forget him. He’s the real OG of vert training

Cant believe that for 90% of 2 foot jumpers, 90% of their training for the first few years comes down to “increase your squat:bw ratio and practice your jumps a few times a week.” But it took a lot of reading to get to that conclusion

But bro T-Dub never touch a weight I want to jump like him

Have you tried air alert

Notes

run -- 11.03k, 1:05:52
lift -- OAC ISO (3 sets +2.5kg), OL Calf Raise (2 sets +60kg), RDL (130kg), BSS (2 sets +60kg), Dips (myo set + 20kg), Tib Bar (2 sets 20kg)

Notes

nice, most of the way back. "only" 6 hours ocardio this week but entirely running. not bad for an ill week etc etc. Achilles feeling basically 100% which is great since there way a fair volume of strides in there this week. Interestingly the issue for me feels like just calf/lower-leg muscular endurance. Kind of surprising since I have done a fair bit of running and I'd've thought that the calf raises would help with that (given all the research on lifting for durability), but could just be an number of factors explaining that. onwards and upwards! cycle tmrw i think, just to give calves a bit of recovery.

training plan is still to do a 5k-ish block in more of the SWAP/JD setup. So Tuesday faster work, Saturday something with alternations/long-fast run. Else just easy and strides. Good way to rebuild and get in 5k pb shape.

true, true. my great-grandfather did write the power of positive thinking, after all.

wtf!
