Got this email from Jackwood!

pretty good tools, Free untill Oct 8
His email is as follow:

Hi There

I just wanted to write to let you know about a cool FREE plyometric training app I have been using on my Iphone to measure ground contact time and jump height.

It is called Plyo Coach. Just go to the Apple App store and search for Plyo Coach and you will find it.

It is free until the 8th of October.

This isn't my app, it is just one I was recently put onto that I thought was worth sharing. So after the 8th I am not sure what it will cost, but for now it doesn't cost anything.

Enjoy

I downloaded it, I wonder how accurate it is. It also doesn't say if it's measuring in inches or some other increment.

Thanks for the heads up Scoob!!!
Goal

windmill consistently/ touch top of the square consistently

weight= 193
height= 6'3 1/2
highest touch= top of the square, which is 11'4

man technology is getting insane.. if this is somewhat accurate that's pretty sick that you can obtain this data from an app on a phone.

weird that it doesn't say what metric is being used lmao.

what does it display? can you give an example?

does it just say like: 30

here's the link that shows pic examples... http://itunes.apple.com/ao/app/plyo-coach/id558736321?mt=8

and the only con to this is figuring out how to keep your phone tightly held to your core while jumping. It says to hold it there or use a fanny pack lol..

here is a link to all of the developer's apps. They are surprisingly good and seem really useful for training. I might get the workout coach and start logging my stuff on my phone.

i've tested this app out at the court and really don't like it. I put the phone around the waist band of my compression shorts and did a light 2 hand dunk, and it recorded me at 5.6 inches :/... but I guess you get what you pay for, maybe I should run a few more test trials. the other apps on the developers web site seem pretty useful as well, but so did this one I guess.
