Title: Arm length and muscles
Post by: fast does lie on August 11, 2017, 11:47:45 pm
Because I really like BBALL and I am given opportunity to train talented but clueless bball players, I need my arms to hang as low to the ground as possible because it is very advantageous for bball players to have long arms obv.

What upper body work outs hinder arms from hanging low to the ground? Does any help?

i mean take a look at this guy.... his arms are all bulked up so he'd have a tough time handling the rock especially splitting the defense....

Adarq, people that are really bulky it is harder for them to handle the bball low to the ground correct? Compared to say someone like Dennis Schroder who is skinny and therefore not as much muscle get in the way when he is splitting the defense?

no.

derek fisher was kinda bulky. nate is kinda bulky. if you bulk up, just need to keep dribbling so you don't lose any coordination.

muscle doesn't "get in the way" .. if you increase the size of a muscle and don't train skill, skill will suffer. usually the act of putting on more muscle comes to the detriment of skill training itself - ie, bodybuilders just want to lift, they don't want to dribble a basketball for 2 hours a day. Find me a basketball player who loves dribbling, but also wants to get huge, and you'll probably find a bulked up dude who can dribble just fine.

skill skill skill.
