Had meniscus problems since december, pain comes and goes. Now it has been happening more and more. I will stop playing bball altogether. But can I still squat/deadlift with a minor torn meniscus?
I heard taht all people's meniscus wear down through time...

If you're getting pain, have surgery.
-
see a professional and find out exactly what the cause of the problem is.
-
Not if you have a meniscal tear. If it's very minor, there's a chance that by rest and intaking the right amount of vitamins, you could fix it up, but usually meniscus issues are permanent.

Is that Dr. House talking?

Fucking idiots on this board neg good posts. Obv meniscus tears never really fully heal on it's own.
Dunno who negged which post, they all read zero for me when I checked this thread. But Dreyth had the only post in the thread that deserves to be above neutral. If have severe chronic knee pain that you think might be caused by a meniscus tear STOP ASKING STRANGERS ON THE INTERNET FOR ADVICE AND GO SEE A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL.

I un negged harvey's post. Almost all meniscus wounds don't heal on its own because it's not your average tear. A meniscus is like a padding and doesn't tear like ACL or other ligaments.
okay. so go see a doctor.

god, i fucking hate this country sometimes. any civilized country should enable all its citizens to access medical care regardless of cost. sorry, man, that's a shitty situation to be in. i've never been without insurance (went from full time student straight into full time work...knock wood) so i don't know what to tell you.
