What athletic aspects do hill sprints train. I'm talking short distance (15m), really steep hills (45 degrees). I seem to feel really strong for a few days after doing them. Just more powerful.
I can't imagine they're about quickness so much as you don't move fast like a flat sprint. Are they more about power/ rate of force?

Your basically just running against a greater resistance, getting stronger.

Also, when you can't change the athlete's angle you change the running surface's angle. That will train acceleration and the digging phase better (start of the sprint).

Yeah funny though that the training effect seems to fade. For me at least.

Maybe thats it. My acceleration feels a lot better. Thats a more accurate description of the 'powerful' feeling.
Whatever it is I like it. Gonna keep doing them 2 times a week :D
