Measurements taken after eating a lot of food.

Wrist: 7 (difference from ideal measurements below in parentheses)
Chest: 42 (-3.5)
Forearm: 12 (-1.2)
Biceps: 13.75 (-2.35)
Waist: 30.5 (-0.7)
Thigh: 23 (-1.1)
Hips: 38 (-0.7)
Calf: 15 (-0.5)
Neck: 15 (-1.8 )

So I need a bit bigger everything, particularly chest, forearm, neck and biceps. In order to look like a Greek statue, that is.

Foot length: 10.75
Foot width: 4.25
Index toe length: 2.75

UPDATE

According to this calculator: http://www.yewhealth.com/estimated-1rm-for-the-big-3/ (http://www.yewhealth.com/estimated-1rm-for-the-big-3/), I have a maximum lifting potential of:
bench 343
oly squat (high bar ATG) 472
power squat 515
DL 550

Title: Re: Measurements
Post by: vag on July 14, 2010, 04:23:40 pm
My wrist : 6,9''

Chest Size: 43,3 / 44.9 ( -1,6'' )

Forearm Size: 12,2/ 13.0 ( -0.8'' )

Waist Size: 36 / 31.4 ( +4,6'' , vag = owned )

Thigh Size: 25,5 / 23.8 ( +1,7'' , statue = owned )

Hip Size: 42,1 / 38.1 ( +4'' , statue= PWNED )

Calf Size: 15 / 15.2 ( -0,2'' )

Biceps Size: 15,7 / 16.1 ( -0,4'' )

Neck Size: 15,5 / 16.6 ( -1,1'' )

So he is much leaner , we are more or less the same everywhere unless from quads/hips where im much bigger.
Pretty close , lol , wtf did you expect , im Greek! :D

Word!
Not just wrists , my general built is skinny/non-muscular , yet not lean , not even close GRRRRR  >:(.
Before engaging with weights , being 19 years old my natural bodyweight would balance at ~160lbs, bodyfat would be ~15% though.
When i was 15 years old my height was ~5'9''  and my weight... ~120lbs!!!
That would explain very clear why i dont worry much about my bodyfat , being naturally at 165/15% at 19 years old makes my current 194/16 while being 17 years older more than impressive!
Getting off-topic though , gonna post a full detailed training bio eventually so we can continue there , sorry everyone!

i use some tape measurer, not a metal ribbon one, some flexible ribbon one.. works well. you could use some kind of string, then measure that (the string will conform nice to the circumference).

measure unflexed :D

Forearm Size: 9.2 in (Greek: +3.1 in)

Neck Size (around Adam's Apple): 15.2 in (Greek: +0.4 in)
Ankles: 8.6 in

Conclusion: Too fat and too puny  :'(

Lifting Potential Based on wrist circumference, ankle circumference and height, as calculated by the yewhealth calculator-

Bench: 275 lbs
Oly Squat: 397 lbs
Power Squat: 433 lbs
Deadlift: 463 lbs

Conclusion: I'm gonna be weak forever :'(
PS- My puny wrists/ankles relative to my height/bodyweight may be attributed to my being born premature @ 2 lbs, 13 ounces. I have really small feet and hands as well.

    * Your ideal body measurements are
    * Chest Size: 45.5
    * Forearm Size: 13.2
    * Waist Size: 31.9
    * Thigh Size: 24.1
    * Hip Size: 38.7
    * Calf Size: 15.5
    * Biceps Size: 16.4
    * Neck Size: 16.8
AND MY REAL PROPORTIONS are:

Chest: 39"
Neck: 14"
Bicep: 14"
vmo:16.5"
thigh:24"
calf:16"
Waist: 30"
forearm: 13"
wrist:7"
glute/hip: 38"
wingspan: 77" (same as height)

height: 6"5' weight: ~180-185 lbs (depends on days)

All Greek from waist down baby!

legs looking big!!! seems like most people on this site rival the greek measurements with lower body, but fail upper body.. interesting you know, we're such "leg training obsessed athletes".. and as jumpers, tons of excess upper bulk wouldn't be beneficial.

   * Height : 73 inches
   * wrist : 7
   * ankle: 9.8
   * weight: 81kg (178 lbs)
   * Chest Size: 40
   * Forearm Size: 12
   * Waist Size: 32
   * Thigh Size: right: 23 left: 22.5
   * Calf Size: 16
   * Biceps Size: 15
   * Neck Size: 14.6
   * Hips/Ass: 41

my estimated lifts are astronomical compared with what i can do now

Your “Normal” lifts are:

    * Bench =134kg (295 lbs)
    * Olympic Squat =215kg (474 lbs)
    * Power Squat =234kg (516 lbs)
    * Deadlift =250kg (550 lbs)

what I can actually do now is

bench - 110kg
I'm not so sure on the difference between olympic and power squat but I do parallel squat of 135kg
deadlift 160kg

I'd love to achieve those estimated lifts, I probably would have put on a fair amount of muscle if I could do them though

Measurements taken after eating a lot of food.

Wrist: 7 (difference from ideal measurements below in parentheses)
Chest: 42 (-3.5)
Forearm: 12 (-1.2)
Biceps: 13.75 (-2.35)
Waist: 30.5 (-0.7)
Thigh: 23 (-1.1)
Hips: 38 (-0.7)
Calf: 15 (-0.5)
Neck: 15 (-1.8 )

So I need a bit bigger everything, particularly chest, forearm, neck and biceps. In order to look like a Greek statue, that is.

Foot length: 10.75
Foot width: 4.25
Index toe length: 2.75

UPDATE

According to this calculator: [broken link, can't find the calculator anymore], I have a maximum lifting potential of:
bench 343
oly squat (high bar ATG) 472
power squat 515
DL 550

bumping for funsies and in case anyone else wants to give this a shot. the link to the "ideal greek measurements" page is here: http://www.fitness.com/tools/greek_proportions/. my updated measurements are below, with difference from "ideal" for my wrist measurement in parentheses.

Wrist: 7
Chest: 43 (-2.5)
Forearm: 12.5 (-0.7)
Biceps: 14 (-2.1)
Waist: 31.5 (+0.8 )
Thigh: 24.5 (+0.4)
Hips: 38.5 (-0.2)
Calf: 15.75 (+0.25)
Neck: 15.5 (-1.3)

still with the skinny biceps, chest and neck, but numbers up across the board since 2010. waist a bit over (there's those five holiday pounds, lol) and thigh and hips a bit over.

for consistency, if anyone wants to do the same:
-bicep flexed with arm bent, forearm flexed with wrist slightly bent
-chest relaxed standing straight, nipple height; waist and neck also relaxed standing straight
-thigh standing with weight on that leg but not actively flexing, same for hips
-calf seated with leg bent but not actively flexing

just re-took these out of curiosity, because i'm starting the anderson pull up thing and kind of hoping i'll actually add a little mass to my upper body. needed to retake the baseline. somewhat incredibly, i'm almost exactly where i was 10 years ago.

chest: 42.5
forearm: didn't measure
biceps: 14
waist: 30.5
thigh: 23
hips: 37 (i thought my ass had gotten smaller)
calf: 15.5
neck: 15

i guess probably a lot of 33-year-olds would be glad to have the same measurements they had at 23. anyway just thought that was funny. my weight has fluctuated by ~20 pounds in that time but i'm right back to where i was. gonna make dessert a more regular thing and see what happens.
