i hear everywhere pistols are so great
but is it worth the time to learn how to do them if your a basketball player
-
... Are pistols great? I dunno, seems like a waste of time if you already have access to a squat rack.
-
probably better as an assessment exercise then a strength/muscle building one
-
IME, they're fun and good for balance/stability. If you want to learn them, they're not going to hurt you. I don't know how being a basketball player has anything to do with it.
-
if they don't bother you, then they can be a nice bodyweight exercises to get some kind of strength stimulus if you don't have access to weights.. if you have access to weights i'd stick with walking lunge/BSS/stepups.
i actually hurt my knee pretty bad doing full ROM pistols way back hah.
pc
probably better as an assessment exercise then a strength/muscle building one

You could spend your time on a bunch of other stuff
