sup there guys,
I'm thinking about getting some resistance bands to help improve my speed in squats and dead lifts.
Can anyone recommend a particular brand that's good? preferably cheap but I'm willing to consider more expensive ones if they're the real deal.
I've never bought any before and would prefer to not waste any money on ones that aren't up to the task.
Thanks in advance
Henry

how advanced are you at squatting and dead lifting?

LBSS has a valid question.
I use some (can't remember where I got them, Elite something?) that are 120lbs of resistance at the top of my squat. I want to believe they've made a difference.

I'm from the UK.
not particularly advanced at either squatting or dead lifting.. 1.9xbw full squat and 2.25xbw dead lift.
was probably going to get some light bands just to see what it feels like/if it makes any difference in my lifting and jumping. excess money isn't a problem I have though so want to make the right choice.

Try strengthshop.co.uk
Although, I imagine you don't really need them at that level, I've never used them though so will leave it to more experienced lifters to talk about that.

If you do get some, I wouldnt bother with the thinnest or the thickest ones. You say you want to get the light ones? Those are thin. These are almost useless and you'll regret wasting the money. And the thickest ones are less useless but too clumsy too use, they give too much resistance/assistance depending on the use. I found the most useful ones are the middle ones. The ones I got were yellow (thinest), orange (mid thickness), blue (very thick). I only really use the orange.

nice, thanks for the link and advice guys. I guess "light" depends on what you consider to be heavy and I do want to be able to feel it so I'll give some middle ones a go.
