While the gif was loading I noticed his knees rise a fair bit just before the dunk? Is that supposed to happen? Because it's pretty counterintuitive to me, I subconsiously try to dip down/get low as much as possible before jumping but looking at lebron he's got high knees, obviously he dips down at the end but before that he's high. If i'm wrong, tell me, i don't mind.

Risking posting this despite the chance of seeing raptors bare legs :ibjumping:

Do you mean with his right knee after he plants? I don't really see his knees getting "high" as such apart from after the plant with his right (unless I'm missing something obvious).

don't high jumpers have high knees? His knees dn't look that high to me, but he's taking a fast approach so his stride length is longer than a simple 5 step jump and thus his knees might seem high, and he looks like hes lowering his hips still quite a bit.
long jumping is the same way, people still have high knees so I'm confused what part of the jump you are referring to.

Yeah, he's moving pretty fast prior to the jump, so his knees aren't gonna be that low.

I don't understand anything...
