Post by: k6mi on September 03, 2011, 06:47:19 pm
I think Im having this http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/children/parents/special/bone/135.html

what should I do? remove lowerbody lifts for a while? and what about basketball practice?

I saw some pic´s what can happen with that diagnose.really scary. but I dont want to cut or remove my basketball practice bcoz season is coming in like 1,5 month

I have the pain/swolling in the area that google pics show where the pain is. and my knee looks the same like here : http://images.google.ee/imgres?q=osgood+schlatter+disease+images&hl=et&sa=G&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=YvNDrps66VdSMM:&imgrefurl=http://www.physioworks.com.au/injuries-conditions-1/osgood-schlatters-disease&docid=6mHCfFflDbNzSM&w=295&h=175&ei=FKViTqiYKcmE-wby0dmhCg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=455&vpy=307&dur=31&hovh=140&hovw=236&tx=55&ty=47&page=1&tbnh=137&tbnw=231&start=0&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:9,s:0&biw=1440&bih=652

I'm having the pain in the exact same area as the picture refers to but my pain is only in my right leg.

Go to the doctor, see what it is for sure.  Could be jumpers knee, could be something worse, you have no idea until you get it looked at, dont try to self diagnose.

doctor´s here are more stupid than a dog. I mean dog compared to human.
last time when I went to a doctor, the doctor asked me if I knew what is wrong with me . lol.

yea, all those years of education, those guys have no clue. just put some injuries/chronic issues down on some strips of paper, fold them up and put them in a hat.  Use your 15 year old education and mind and draw one out, convince yourself thats exactly whats wrong with you, then ask how to treat that on an internet forum.  Yall are right, wtf was i thinking... doctors,,,, smh.

also K6mi, werent you the one that came on irc every morning when you were just sore from training asking about your "injury"? lol. thats why you go to doctors....

My thoughts exactly, but without the irony.

ok.
I remember when my sister was really sick and my mom took him to the doctor and then the doctor asked my mom if she know what disease my sister has. like WTFF. HE IS THE FUCKING DOCTOR HOW THE FUCK SHOULD MY MOM KNOW?
and If I would go to a doctor and pay like 50-100$ and then the doctor asked me if I knew what disease Im having . thats a good idea to waste 50$ to get asked whats wrong with me?

and you said that weightlifting doesnt stop growth etc. but 95% doctors where I have went all said that weightlifting will stop my growth , 95% coaches say that also, 90% coaches here in estonia say calf raises are better for vertical than squats ,

also I remember like 50 times when I didnt want to go to school and I needed a paper from the doctor (dnt know how its called in english) and then it was like I said I have a head ache , then the doctor said that " dont go to school before new week and don train for 2 weeks" like wtf. I had a headache and then I cant train for 2 weeks.

and yea I have no doubt that they know more than me but I will get the same information on internet for free than I will get from them for 50$

this May was the last time I went to one of the best clinic´s in this country and then I already had knee , heel, achilles tendons  issues and then the doctor said I need to put on warming gel to my heels, tendons, and knee´s.  so you would agree with my doctors that warming gel is better than ice to put on my knee´s?

k6mi, your best bet of getting your problem figured out is still going to be a doctor.  If the dr you normally go to is not meeting your expectations, go find another that others may recommend as being "good".   Your odds arent going to be good guessing what it is either, and it can cause to lose valuable training time, or injure yourself even worse in the event that it is actually serious. For the time being, rest, ice, foam roll it band, stretch quads, hip flexors, hams, etc.  If it doesnt start to get better though youre still going to have to find SOMEONE to look at it, so I would start doing some research on a sports doc there or nearby.

I can find myself (and other friends of mine) completely in what k6mi says. A friend of mine fell down and hit his tibia on a wooden stick with blood and all that, and the doc said it was bursitis. And all kinds of crazy shit.
