Do you have any idea how Wars are declared Just or In Just? Jus ad bellum mean anything to you?

Just curious if you actually know what the fuck you are talking about or just speaking out of your ass like most liberal punks.

Speaking of liberal punks, Michael Moore already criticizing the killing of Osama. using just news reports calling it an "execution" and illegal and saying he should have been brought to trail.

Gee I wonder how Moore would have handled trying to capture alive the most wanted person in the world.

You call someone a "liberal punk" just because they are against the iraq/afghanistan wars? Sounds like you don't know "what the fuck you are talking about". People from all parties are against those wars, has nothing to do with being liberal. WMD's was a farce & afghanistan never should have been invaded to fight "Al Qaeda".

Who gives a flying fuck about michael moore, no one mentioned his fat ass except for you, he's a movie director. USA admits that he didn't have weapons and the story about him using a woman as a shield has become suspect, they had orders to kill right from the get-go. If you are ok with that, then you're ignorant as fuck. Of all the people you would want to capture & interrogate, it's Usama Bin Laden. If that was impossible during the raid because Usama was in a position to kill the Seals, sure, put an end to him, but the story (one of many official stories from USA gov) sure doesn't make it sound like that was the case.

You're a noob, gtfo faggot.

who has 50,000? the terrorists?

they did a pretty good job at giving bush an excuse to goto war in afghanistan/iraq and waste trillions of dollars, which contributed to putting us in this massive economic situation we are in..

a small amount of people living in caves with access to horrible technology/outdated weapons+explosives have succeeded in sucking the usa into two wars which have cost trillions of dollars.

so ya, i agree, 50,000 (terrorists) to 12 (usa).

the war on terror gets more & more difficult every time civilians are killed in drone/air strikes.. or maybe when blackwater (Xe) just stops in the middle of a busy city in iraq and opens fire on civilians for fun, ya, that'll make the people in the middle east really love us............

lots of noobs in this thread.

Have a military background, just thought I would chime in.  Everyone was really happy to hear about the elimination of Osama, but  hopefully it is a first step in getting troops out.  No one wants to spend 7-12 months getting shot at in the dessert.  Hopefully the future war on terror can be fought with more intelligence work and some kind of positive changes happen in the bad parts of the middle east, maybe even revolutions similar to Egypt. I just dont know enough about it to say it is just that easy to pull out with no negative ramifications (pun intended). Dug ourselves into a deep hole.

Still thing a major part of the whole current set up isn't individual politicians per se, it is the power of the defense industry.  When you have congressman being pressured to produce jobs and defense contracts, and that same congressman have the influence of going into war, it is a clear conflict of interest. Bush even said once that "the best way to revitalize the economy is war." Regardless of how true or untrue this statement is, this is not the way anyone should think. War is terrible and ugly.

No reason our defense spending should not be cut down as it makes up more than 40% of world wide defense budgets. Side note to that is that it is only 4.7% of GDP where as various countries such as Saudi Arabia have way more than that(10%). Still if we stop going off to war, and politicians worry about budget instead of getting votes by getting more defense bids, no reason that it can't but cut in half at least(GDP % and total budget) as it is not like we have unfriendly neighboring countries.

President Eisenhower, a former General in WWII, surprised a lot of people in his farewell speech. Most people expected him to praise the military and the set up.  Instead he talked about the dangers of a growing "military-industrial complex" and warned that if it continues we will only be in trouble due to the dangers of influences.  This was in 1961 and he proved to be 100% correct, sadly ---more info here

Cut defense after war as much as possible (and first avoid all out war at all costs)

"Dug ourselves into a deep hole" <-- already happened. The war in iraq/afghanistan has resulted in more terrorists, unfortunately that will cost more lives, most of which will be in europe, not in usa. UK/Russia etc are fucked. Russia even worse, because of it's continued conflict in chechnya. Leave chechnya alone you russian fuckfaces.

Agree, but politicians behind desks who themselves or whose children have never served in the military won't understand that comment.

agree, also legalize weed and stop thanking "god" for everything.

Hopefully usa continues to be buttfucked by wikileaks so that it will clean up it's practices... hopefully more people leak information regarding war crimes etc.

I dont know hard to quantify if there are "more" terrorists now but hopefully we have better intelligence and techniques now to prevent 9/11 happening all over again sometime soon, although someday it is going to happen just dont know on what scale.

think they should legalize weed but dont think its a big deal either away, and don't care who thanks God or who thanks the devil

but one thing I seriously hope they consider is the FairTax Act

basically income tax becomes no more and instead everything is charged a higher consumption tax.  No more IRS BS, and those that spend outside their means get taxed for it, while those that are just trying to make it by get charged less. Plus it would make more money off tourists and those who don't pay income tax(illegals or whatever). Also maybe find a way to tax higher income consumption goods even more, although the rich most likely would pay a lot more since they spend and buy a lot more
