i'm not a huge centrowitz fan.. dno something about him usually bothers me, seems cocky in a weird way. he's had such a "bad season" after winning the gold in 2016 olympics.. wonder what happened to him, mentally, physically, etc.

Miller-Uibo looked ridiculous in 200m.

About to watch the 200m final.. pulling for Makwala & WVN but, don't think WVN will even get top 3 .. unless he's in way better form than the semis.

Guliyev beast mode. damn.

great 200m final.

I first heard of Guliyev when he became the 2nd white man to run sub 10 (9.97).
Upset of the Word Champs imo. Honestly who would've thought Guliyev would have won the 200 :o

my dad did........ lmao!

first time he saw him.. he picked him. I think he just liked his shades tho.

he looked great in the heats/semis so i was def expecting him to do good, not necessarily win it though. you could see how emotional he was, first gold for turkey in that event.

Ye guliyev was amazing. But wvn was disappointed and felt like he was being disrespected because of the mkwala situation. He thinks people are against him. Strange.

Can't wait for the 200m final womans.

Also uibo on bbc said that she looked up on the screen, misplaced her footing, dragging her toes and losing speed and falling behind. But her face showed agony, maybe agony of fatigue and tiredness.

Woman's high jump for brit's going well. But you can't count out the american's.

I think I missed the news where they announced that russia was banned or maybe I did see it but didn't think much of it. But crazy to think. Would it be crazy to think that there may be other countries who sponsor doping their athletes.
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm

ya i don't get it.. looked more serious than that. But then she looked so good in the 200 semi that it kind of makes sense.. maybe she just slipped up and broke mentally? I mean, we've seen tons of athletes literally fall, get back up and keep running, maybe not in 400m but, if you're determined & healthy you'll keep pushing hard, especially from "misplacing your footing". There was no indication that she was trying her hardest in the last 10m, looked like she was hurt & completely gave up. Maybe she's just not that mentally strong when it comes to stuff like that? Would be a shame if that were the case..

Happens alot more than we think unfortunately. China/Bulgaria have done similar things for Oly Lifting/Gymnastics. Jamaica has been accused for sprinting. USA has tons of shady coaches.

Really sucks..

I'd love to see completely clean competition AND training. :ninja: :(

Yeah I believe that Makwala accused the IAAF of kicking him from the 400m in order to help WVN win. What an outrageous assertion from Makwala.

/\ Lol a list of wtf's. The way they removed mkwala from the 400m race was just strange and not enough information and just unfounded based on what mkwala is saying and the iaaf is saying, so I feel that mkwala should have been allowed to compete but given a recommendation rather than enforcing it on him.

I also feel because of the way it turned out and not enough information from iaaf, incorrect way of removing mkwala, people i.e. public gonna form their own opinion like michael johnson was mentioning, that if iaaf are not communicating properly people will start forming conspiracies and this catches on and people will start thinking that maybe they are favouring wvn and from that they think wayde won because mkawala was not in there and therefore that's why niekerk's feeling upset of not getting respect of his win has some grounds to it.

But it's not mkwala's fault cos he felt he was removed from the race incorrectly and he will get his opinion.

IAAF is at fault and this is the effects that comes out of it and therefore affecting niekerk.

note: for some reason my vocabulary bank is feeling empty finding it difficult to find the right word lol.

Awesome 200m finals woman, I always felt schippers had the edge and with talou so close and then the dip for the win. Great job.

USA won the steeplechase from the kenyan's good for them.

Bolt injury.................... damn :( really sucks.

Tried to find the clip of Omar Mcleod crying, post interview. Damn. Good dude. :/

any idea what kind of injury he suffered yet? looked like a hamstring tear... not a major/full one though.

men's 5k was nuts.. Mo gave everything he got but just got beat. The dude who won looked so fresh at the end.. Chelimo & Farah were dead. Great race.

:ibrunning: :ibrunning: :ibrunning:

Day 10 is going to be great.. Men's high jump, W 5000m, M 1500m, W 800m, M/W 4x400m.
