It would have been the cherry on the cake if murtaz barshim (maybe wrongly spelt) broke the world record, but now he has changed his style recently when he was in the world champs this year he couldn't get near what he got in this video.

i love the way Mutaz Barshim runs up & jumps.. really fun to watch

i was watching the asian athletic championships on tv when i was in mozambique in 2011. first major international comp that he really showed out at -- he was 17! i just remember thinking, damn that dude is tall.

These elite olympic level high jumpers.  Obviously high jumping is more than just jumping high since you gotta clear the bar with technique, but what kind of SL vert's do these guys have?  Was someone like Stefan Holm and this Barshim guy jumping 50"?
