Not sure if this thread died or not because I wasn't aware of this forum until today, but I'll answer adarqui's question anyway. I didn't get paid anything for the testimonial (woulda been sweet if I did).

I was pretty much kidding with the payment comment, but that's how it comes off to people who think AlexM is shady.

Quote
Alex is helping me grow my own basketball training business online, so the least I could do was help him out. I really did like the flying in four program when he sent it to me, felt like KB did an awesome job on it, and I feel like I told it like it is.

Right well, he used your "dunks" in a deceptive way. You come off as if you've actually done the program. Now I trust you stand by what you said, but, you claim something like "flying in 4 is truly effective" or something along those lines. Truly effective would indicate four inches in four weeks. Now, I understand how you could have looked over it and thought: "Hm, this is a nice program ya it's pretty solid", but it would be hard just by looking at the program that it would be effective at producing 4 inch gain in 4 weeks.

So ya, I understand you're helping him out, out of respect for him helping you out, but when you do that with someone who has deceptive marketing practices, it just makes you look bad while at the same time not making him look bad.

Who am I though right? That's just my opinion. All those scammer-people will find & USE athletes who can perform to push their products. In the end that's the way of the world.

It's similar to supplement companies using bodybuilders to push their products, even though these people had just been roiding or using something else. It's slightly different though, considering you never actually said that you used it, but it is "implied" to a gullible 15-17 year old noob.

Sup Taylor, someone pasted this to me:

"For the record, I think it's ridiculous for people to be calling Alex out, considering we all know that he definitely knows his shit and has impressively turned his passion into a business. Isn't that the ultimate dream anyway? Or maybe I'm just saying all this because I'm his scam artist buddy... " -- allan22

mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

I guess, if trying to achieve the american dream is diving into a topic so deep, trying to learn everything about it, using self experimentation & trying to put theory into practice, then starting your own business, calling yourself a guru, fabricating results, and promoting _squatflex_.

The ultimate dream, in this life & the next, is to work hard, fight your way to the top by all means necessary, then promote products and services that are known to be severely lacking in the effectiveness department.

Build a name.

Fabricate results.

Overprice your shit to make it more appealing.

Recruit impressive people in order to acquire more cred.

Rise-to-the-motherfucking-top.

"IM RICH BITCH!" -- Chappelle

So I mean it's whatever, there's a good side and a bad side. I plan to stay on the good side & piss off the bad side. Eventually the efforts of this movement might transcend the s&c industry and metastasize into other industries.

FOR FUCKS SAKES, PEOPLE GET SCAMMED INTO WAR.

ok lemme chill.

as soon as he started talking my skepticism rose. I like intelligent people talking about sports, but the way he talks its clear he's an idiot. I wonder what his results actually are with other people. KB has a lot of informative articles, but I think he is clearly more introverted, AM just talks a lot and is stupid, but to make money you need that latter trait, which tends to draw haters as well
"Performance during stretch-shortening cycle exercise is influenced by the visco-elastic properties of the muscle-tendon units. During stretching of an activated muscle, mechanical energy is absorbed in the tendon structures (tendon and aponeurosis) and this energy can subsequently be re-utilized if shortening of the muscle immediately follows the stretching. According to Biscotti (2000), 72% of the elastic energy restitution action comes from tendons, 28% - from contractile elements of muscles.

oh ya i forgot about my newsletter.. that's simply to remind people of bog posts and new stuff on the site though. i've been meaning to write another blog entry soon, got some nice stuff to talk about.

i would never unsubscribe to maroko-ML, shit cracks me up, i look forward to every spam mail offering me some new program to buy.. i mean, as a person on the other end, i would think most of those people would get annoyed with him pushing new products down their throats every month.. you start off getting interested in "TAQ" and FI4, then you get offered all this other bullshit to buy, speed programs/bodyweight shit/other strength programs, makes no sense from a legitimacy standpoint :)

peace
