damn.. that was a brutal read.. I had an LA fitness contract long ago but i got out of it easy for some reason.. All of those "contract" places really suck, I hate contracts. I won't go to any gym/boxing club if it involves a contract, and that is pretty much all of them. They all try and snake you.

Did something like that happen to you when you canceled your membership?

yep..they work if you not a lazy idiot

i got a bench/squat and i can do incline bench 2..

only problem is low ceiling in my basement make it really hard to do military press and or put in a cage

no i found out b4 they scammed me

i went to the place cuz it was new and right by my house

went in..took a tour..it was a pretty good gym but looked a little fake...hated the courts cuz they were small but atleast they were there...saw some free weights..which i would use all the time...pool was a piece of shit

anyway we were just looking and the guy was asking if we were gonna buy that day and we said no we were coming back later....and this dude's face turned evil...i mean the guy was getting pissed as soon as we said we were not gonna pay that minute

looked it up and found out they should be sued out their ass for what these fake idiots do there..the place is fake and you don't know it at first but you soon find out there is something really really wrong about it...just for show

anyway the dude called us 4 times b4 giving up..weird thing is that we never gave out our number to him...so that made me certain that it was a scam shit hole

DON'T GO THERE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

ah.. well that's good man, smart move.. I was pretty gullible at your age, so gullible in fact I almost got tricked into signing up for the navy.. This guy literally was trying to get me to sign my name the first day he met me, to join the navy.. Had me sitting down/talked to me for hours, offered me all this shit.. That was my first true encounter with the scam world.. That's like LA Fitness x 100000000.

hah

Right.. but to get "coerced" into joining is much different than properly evaluating the situation, over a period of weeks/months, then making an informed decision.. that's what I was getting at :)

peace

I used to belong to an LA fitness. Fuck that shit, wouldn't even let me throw med balls against the wall. I prefer my current gym and its indestructible cinder block walls.

They didn't scam me or anything over there, the place just sucks.

co-sign

i herd they don't disinfect the machines or locker-rooms, just wipe them down enough to make them look good on the outside
