New to the board, not so new to jumping

Hey what's going on...I joined yesterday but haven't posted because I was waiting until I got a video.  I'm a 25 year old (almost 26) guy from the midwest who's pretty much just into sports in general.  Right now I'm just playing volleyball, basketball, and slow pitch softball.

Anyway, I'm just trying to work on increasing my vertical.  I used to be able to jump higher back in my high school/college days and I've lost a little bit, so I'm going to try to get it back.  I'm only about 5'11 with shoes on so I need all the vertical I can get.  Anyway...here's a vid of what I can do now, any tips on what you think might help are appreciated...

Note: I didn't really have time to warm up for the vid as I had to be somewhere and my recording got delayed by rain.  It was also windy and sort of cold so I couldn't do any lobs really, and the rim also wasn't breakaway and tore the shit out of my hands...but no excuses.  I'll try to post some better efforts later.  And oh yeah, remember to switch the vid to 720p...makes it look a little better I think.  Anyway, I'm out...

Yep Iowa.  Wasn't too bad earlier today, and then it rained and cool down like 10 degrees and got windy as hell.  But yeah I'm not too happy with the vid...going to have to try get something better out there sometime soon.  Hopefully on a better court.

Indoor has best place for vert imo. The hardwood helps for landing and is great to jump off of.

Yeah I'm gonna try to find a place I can get into sometime soon.  Another problem I had today was I kept getting too far under the rim on my take off instead of taking off a little in front of it....just shit I gotta work on I guess

i get that problem with rebounding...just a thought, maybe look at the ground and decid to take off there, instead of focusing on rim..so you decide to jump from a point on ground and just guess when you on point

officially welcomed man

so here's the real quick back story, jr hangs in the live chat now (menubar -> features -> live chat), invited him there from another channel that i usually get trolled in when i post my dunk videos.. ok end back story.

crazy vid man, considering relaxed dunks + all that wind (you weren't kidding, tons of wind damn), so no real lobs.

honestly, you have crazy potential.. you have to be jumping 40" at least on your max jumps in normal conditions, with proper training you could be well into mid 40's pretty quickly, eventually getting close to 50, no joke, those jumps are very impressive.

peace

Yeah I never thought I'd actually meet people on IRC who gave a shit about jumping lol...

But yeah thanks for the comments, regardless of how high I'm jumping now, I still have a lot of work to do to get where I want to be.  I'd like to add at least 6" by October 2011 if possible.
