that was great, enjoyed it. loved the section on diabetes.

i mostly eat once a day (dinner). occasionally i'll eat earlier, but for the most part, i've been managing to eat 1x/day for months now. My weight had ballooned (lol) up to ~162 or so after I got injured and stopped running as much. Stayed there for a month or so, then stayed in the high 158+ for another month or so. Then got back on eating 1x/day and have slowly drifted back to down low 140's. Plan is to try and get to my lightest ever WITHOUT much exercise, ie 135 lb or so on mostly diet. I'm still active (yard work on the weekend) and 1-2x/wk run, but nowhere near what I was when I hit 139 lb last year running 80-100 mi per wk for 1.5 months or so.

Very interested to see how low (& lean) I can get on mostly diet strategies. My strategy is just drink tons of water, eat 1x/day, and what I do eat - usually lots of veggies with a 1/2 cup of rice, ie in a stir fry meal. I'll also add in some semi-nutritious stuff like milk chocolate almonds/cashews etc occasionally. It's no biggie since I am constantly making progress. My body is very "efficient" at such a low weight already, so my 1x/meal per day is probably "too large", but I like it so it'll just take me a little more time to drop the fat. I'm cool w/ that.

lowest i've gotten before (morning weight, hydrated, not depleted):
1. just basketball, sub 140 (high school)
2. boxing: 140-142, early 20's
3. dunking: 145-ish, 27-30
4. running: 139, 35-36 y/o
5. mostly diet: 143 (so far, plan is 135 or lower)

also:

most of the people I work with are "baffled" by how I eat etc.. ie, they never see me eat. I don't go get lunch. I don't eat anything while i'm there. So they don't understand how I can possibly not eat the entire time i'm there, and still be able to focus/not even look hungry etc. A few have made comments like "man don't have any idea how you do it" etc.

so just from my experience, people are baffled at someone who doesn't eat a major meal during work hours (ie lunch), or snack / eat throughout the day. you can tell it seems very foreign, because they have to eat lunch, and have to eat some snacks throughout the day. they simply, are hungry - but I am not. lol.

when we have special occasions, ie lunch is brought in, or someone just randomly brings in donuts, most of my co-workers hardly have any of it - they eat very "mice-like", trying to not eat too many calories etc. Meanwhile, i'll crush it, just to be respectful (imho). ie, I won't stick to my fast if my boss buys every1 lunch, I just feel that's kind of rude. It doesn't happen often, maybe once a month or so. So i'm not going to refrain from eating just to stick to my nutritional strategy. Instead, i'll dive in and act normal. But I find it funny how my co-workers won't eat lots of cake during a birthday, or won't have several slices of pizza, but during lunch they will eat these huge lunches & also snack throughout the day. I mean they are trying not to "overeat", but they are constantly eating and very frequently. They all carry significantly more fat than I do, just is what it is. I'm probably only SLIGHTLY more active than most of them now, since i'm not running alot etc. So i'm more like them based on activity level, but on the complete opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to diet.

slightly interesting, dno.

my real-world 2cents on it.

If you really want to go gung ho and strip right down fast, you can try dry fasting - goggle snake diet :)
Your body will burn fat as per normal fasting, but also strip fat to get water as your not drinking any....
