David Wilson trying to make the Olympic team as a triple jumper!! Definitely a beast in character and determination, not to mention physique... I hope he goes far, there's just so much mass for 3 jumps at top speed, maybe he'll continue to lean out

^^^
lol, awesome.

Typical triple-jumper body , 5'10'' / 210lbs:

Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

---

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?

A lot of hip bend, not a lot of knee bend, notice how he stays on the toes, there's no ankle collapse, a ton of foot and calf strength to do that considering the tremendous amount of power that the foot is receiving from the upperleg.

Yes, I noticed that. I was referring to the mini bounce he took prior to the jump. Its just like a paused squat but taking a bounce to gather momentum or energy. Just pointing it out. It barely makes a difference in my SVJ.

not a legit SVJ if thats what u mean with the mini bounce... but he did that barefoot.... probably cancels it out.  ;D

I liked it but, Im gna be that guy...

Why in 99.9999% of all deadlift videos do people just drop the weights?  I realize the eccentric part of the lift in a deadlift is the riskier half but why not cut down some weight and reap the gains from a controlled eccentric phase? All other muscle groups/lifts we're told to concentrate on both phases of the lift to fully activate the surrounding musculature. :/ Just my thoughts, beast for sure none the less!
