Some of my stuff

about 3 weeks ago I've squatted 325lbs for 3x5 ATG. I didn't get it on camera, but I did get a set of 320lbs on camera. I weghed about 190lbs in this vid:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVP0HG6GvDo
Since then I've stalled at around 315x5 for some reason. Dropped and can't go back up. I've done a 2 week deload, now monday marks my first day out of the slump. Going to go for 295x3x5 and work from there.

Sometime back before the summer I was squatting 360lbs max to parallel but i weighed 170-175lbs... I was doing this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY8TZP747nI (2-hand tomahawk in this one)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbMcCUb3V_M (head to net in this one)

I was 6'0 tall in those dunk videos, now I'm 6'1 tall. So, like 5-6 months after those videos I've made ZERO improvements in my SVJ and RVJ and it pisses me off. I need to get my movement efficiency back and start doing some heavy plyos, but first, I want to squat around 405lbs max. This may take a while, but that's okay because vert training is a long term thing.

To me, that first squatting video looks so good, probably the best I've seen in quite some time. I mean, you can just "see" athletic strength in those squats, not just "squatting" strength. It's hard to explain. It's interesting you can squat so deep with such a narrow stance, maybe that's why it looks like that.

As for the plyos, I'm not even sure if you need plyos. I'd say maybe more dunking and paying more attention to technique/plant rotation etc.

I actually can't squat as deep with a wider stance without my back rounding. I remember back when I used to love the wider stance. I have no clue how I ever got used to the narrow stance. It was a slow and gradual change.
Btw, it's funny how my squat seems athletic to you when I haven't played basketball for about a month when I made that video.

Maybe I don't need plyos. I've been playing more basketball lately and I was able to get an easy jam off two feet a couple of times. I also have to remember that I weigh 15lbs more than I used to, and that is definitely affecting my vert!

Damn your ass is pretty big in comparsion to your built (no homo)... haha just noticed this from your squatting vid.

Besides that... your squats and jumps are very impressive. Keep going!

Hahahah yea everyone tells me my ass is huge. So are my thighs, or just legs in general. That's why I weigh 190lbs but I look like I weigh around 180... I'm "bottom heavy." Well, my calves aren't anything special though.
