I think... I think people aren't aware of how much BS goes on in politics. The level of propaganda and deception are at levels you would never believe - literally. it's to the point where i wont share certain views with people because they'll write me off as a lunatic. I have to feel them out to see if they're like-minded first.
I'm may be a lone wolf on this forum but... it's all a show. The left and the right are puppets, others are in charge, and we only have the illusion of democracy to keep us happy. Disenters are caught by controlled opposition like Q and other conspiracy quackery. Amongst all the craziness is bits of truth here and there but we can't possibly differentiate all of the truth from all of the lies, and that's what they want. We're not at the top with them.
Btw, have you all seen the world economic forum's video about how in the future, we won't own any property and we'll be happy?
After last year a lot of people were hoping that 2021 was going to be different and better. However, it seems like nothing has changed and if anything we're all becoming more divided as a society. Like you said people are reluctant to even discuss their viewpoints anymore because the concept of "we can agree to disagree" has been eradicated and social media has encouraged echo chambers. I can read a conservative news site like
The Australian and 90% of the comments will be complaining that the conservative party has gone "too far to the left". Vice versa I can read a progressive news site like
The Guardian and 90% of the comments will be complaining that the progressive party is "too far to the right".
I don't live in the USA but personally I always vote for Independents at elections and then preference the major conservative party in Australia. To be fair the conservative side of politics in Australia is pretty much like the Democrat party though in terms of their economic views. I completely agree with you that the politicians are just puppets acting out of self-interest, self preservation and at the behest of global corporations.
What I find amazing is that virtually everybody (especially many Republicans) are all blaming Trump for the Capitol Hill protest. However, it was many of these same Republicans that were complicit in enabling Trump to spread his messages that the election was rigged and supported him in lawyering up against the results. You tell tens of millions of Trump supporters for months that the election was rigged, the result is unlawful, and we need to fight against this injustice then what the hell did they think would happen!?
I haven't seen the world economic forum's video but I'd be happy to watch it if you post up a link.
