Russian Jet Shot Down - Turkey fired on ejected pilots?

http://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2015/11/24/the-latest-rebel-video-purports-to-show-russian-pilot

did turkey fire on the pilots that ejected? if so, this could get really bad.. that's absolutely mind blowing if they fired on those parachuting pilots (I posted this here because of that). I saw a headline saying turkey was the one shooting at them, then I see other stuff saying Syrian Rebels shot them:

http://metro.co.uk/2015/11/24/syrian-rebels-say-they-shot-both-pilots-from-russian-jet-shot-down-by-turkey-5523347/

that's crazy. I would think the syrian rebels shot it down, as you have I think US providing supplies to the rebels and then you have russia providing support to the syrian doing the killing, so you have this indirect chess game between US and Russia using syria. I think russia wanted to go against US using any ways they can and bombing the syrian rebels must have done that. I don't know why the turks would have shot it down.

I think it's for sure that the Turkish shot the jet down - they have said so, for invading airspace..which Russia deny. The actual shooting of the parachuting pilots seems to be by the Syrian Rebels (the Turkmen) who Turkey and most other nations are pissed about Russia bombing (not ISIS).

One pilot now found safe and well, says there were no Turkish warnings as they claim '10 warnings in 5 mins'.

It's all very messy that's for sure.

Well there must be logs of recorded radio communication evidence somewhere, right?

ya.. i'm just surprised at people shooting at the parachuting pilots.. I mean it's understandable if Russia has been bombing you. it's still pretty shocking. People parachuting down getting shot at just blew my mind. I'd have imagined they would just intercept them upon landing, then eventually hold them prisoner or execute them.. not shoot them in the sky though. I bet dropping a nuke crossed Putin's mind for a split second (or not).

When I was little I remember when my dad used to tell me that "the rules of war" say that you never shoot in parachuting soldiers, you wait until they land. It seemed so weird for me at the time.

Unless you are Greek, you can't even imagine how ironic this shot-down is.
This aircraft was showdown for invading the Turkish airspace for 17 seconds and now the international community says it is Turkey's right to defend their borders.
Right, it is, no doubt. Now here are the official Greek ministry of defense Turkish invasion stats for 2015 ( there is a public link but it is in Greek so i will just copy-paste them ) :
Greek airspace invasions : 1633
Flights over Greek ground : 32 ( the rest are over the Aegean sea )
Dogfights: 74
This is just 2015, the same happens every day, every month, every year, from ever!

I don't want to get into the Greece-Turkey story at all, just wanted to share the irony of this story, it is overwhelming!

Definitely. I'm tired of hypocrisy. Like, really really really tired. I just shake my head and have nothing to say, and just move on. I'm that tired.

On the other hand, I wonder what would've happened if a Turkish plane were to be shut down during these incursions. The Turks can say "hey, you had the chance, you didn't do it, you're too afraid to actually do it" or something like that. Who knows?

Hah, those issues you state have been discussed billions of times here. From cafes to the pentagon. What is the answer? That we will never know.
If you ask me, if we did shoot down one of their planes we would have war the next minute. And you don't want to have war with a country you share borders, is 8 times bigger in population, 3 times bigger in army and has been your historical enemy for the last 700 years. They are still a militaristic country, you don't wanna tease the beast.
Here's some info pages for whoever thinks i am just on a nationalistic rant:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek%E2%80%93Turkish_relations
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aegean_dispute
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyprus_dispute

However, to get back on topic, to be fair and to add even more to the irony, we ( Greece ) are not saints either, we do out share of intrusions too. A big share  8).
They never fired on us either. This is just what both our air forces do, daily, both of us either intrude or intercept. And i am talking about badass intrusions. Armed fighters reaching over each others capitols, not some seconds over the borderline. But we never fire. None of us.
So maybe ( probably/obviously) there is more to this move, something far bigger than our local issues.

It's so idiotic. Greece and Turkey would have a lot to mutually gain from commercial exchange, IMO. Such a tremendous loss just because "they" are both stubborn.

There's a game called "the prisoner's dilemma"... they should look into it.

Also, a good watch:
