I wonder what people here that are Americans think about "patriotism". Back in our communist days, this was a word that was used again and again, obsessively. Everybody was laughing at "us" for using it, and after the communism fell apart, this word has been laughed at every time we used it "seriously".

However, I see the same tendency in the USA... and nobody laughs around... it's perfectly OK in the USA, but if a communist country says it, they're "fake".

I wonder what the actual reality is... how "fake" is this term, how much "marketing" it is and how much "authentic" it is.

It's hard to be "patriotic" in a world ruled by corporations, which are just names that represent people from all over the world.

well they love to toss around "patriotism" when they want us to "blindly support the troops".. so it becomes a scary term when it's tossed around alot by politicians, because it generally means we're about to bomb/invade/goto war with someone.

at least in my lifetime.

Yeah but hey at least it turns out he wasn't offended by it lol

This wasn't a haha at bernie, it would have been a funny video regardless of which party it was.  I actually well itd be nice if bernie could somehow get delegates at the convention to beat her.  I'd rather see a bernie vs trump contest.

:uhcomeon:

trump is synonymous with  :uhhhfacepalm:, i should make that :trump:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Muslim_sportspeople

that boxing list is basically ALL very recognizable names for people who even slightly follow boxing.

also some surprises in the basketball section. Forgot about SHAQ.

chris jackson aka mahmoud abdul-rauf was a beast, loved watching him play growing up. one of the sickest college players i've seen, too.
