Thank you two for the succinct responses. I will search for the T0ddday method and include in some more poly and hopefully I will update y'all with good news after I put in the good work.

I found this site years ago when I wanted dunk. Then I got busy with school and didn't really have the time for it. Recently I've been lifting a lot and was thinking maybe I could try to dunk once in my life. However, I'm not very tall and have t-rex arms so I'll need like a 40" vertical. It'll be a challenge, but looking for some guidance in how I should go about this.

Stats:
Age: 22
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 165
BF%: eh like 10%-11% estimate
Barefoot Reach: 7'2.5" at best :'(
Current SVJ: 33”
Current RVJ: 35"
Both are off two feet. I am ass at one foot jumps for height.

Bench: 190x8
Squat: 265x8
Deadlift 350x5

Goals by April/May 2018
Dunk
Bench Press: 255x1, 225x5
Squat: 340x1 315x5
Deadlift 420x1 405x3

Basically do a 4-3-2-(1) for the main lifts for 5 reps and 2.5x, 2x, 1.5x for dead, squat, bench

Training:
I lift 3x a week and am able to make steady gains. I play basketball 1 to 3 times a week. I rock climb 1-2 times a week.

I first touched rim like 5 years ago and haven't improved much since then. I can grab rim on a good day and barely touch rim on shitty outdoor asphalt courts. It seems like I will need a 41" or so to jump. What can I do beyond jumping a lot and increasing my lifts to supplement my training and hopefully reach this goal.

Lol, I have short arms and small hands.  Its quite sad  :(

As for my sleep schedule, I tend to sleep around 4-5 hours a day if you include various 10-20 minute naps which tend to happen in my classes.

As for my training, after my "AP tests" I think I'll start up my working out.  If I were to work my ass off, do you guys think I'll be able to dunk eventually?

Hi, I'm some random asian nerd who just happened to pop by this site.  It looked like I could get some pretty good advice from here so I decided to join.  I don't know what else to do so I'll use this template for starting a journal that was on here to introduce myself

AGE: 17

HEIGHT:5' 10" (standring reach 7' 2.5")

WEIGHT: 150

SLEEP SCHEDULE: 3 hours a day fck yea

GOALS: dunk (cause it's cool and so it'll easier to make bball team), get into good shape

CURRENT ABILITY: 33" 2 leg vertical (I've touched rim once, hasn't seemed to happen again yet though)
I'm pretty athletic- (fast and strong) imo for my size, but I lack long distance endurance though and I have tiny hands
I don't go to the gym to lift weights, I've mostly done pushups, situps and rock climbed to achieve my strength

INJURY HISTORY: a few wrist injuries here and there and a few ankle injuries when I played basketball

CURRENT ACTIVITY LEVEL AND/OR TRAINING PROGRAM: I play tennis in spring, waterpolo in fall.  Waterpolo we swim 2 hours or so a day (though I'll probably need to do more than that since to catch up to other players) and Tennis you just hit the ball all day long until your legs just drop.
I play basketball in my free time and hope to maybe join basketball team my senior year (next year)

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF CURRENT DIET: My mom feeds me and I eat

IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES: I'm an asian nerd so I have to study my ass off in addition to trying to get any athletic goals and I also do a bunch of other shit that is often time consuming

Besides that heres a short bio of my athletic history

I played Baseballl for 6 years
- was really good at outfield because of speed (though most bad players are put outfield to let them play)
- could rip line drives at batting cages and in practice but choked in games and always seemed to hit grounders, practiced my ass off but could never do well
- quit because I thought I wasn't that good and to focus on tennis (I sometimes miss it though)

Joined Water Polo in Highschool
- Can't swim or tread for shit, not enough conditioning to make school varsity team
- Could probably have made varsity if I was faster/more in shape, but didn't bother to train too hard to focus on tennis
- I play a nasty d-set and I'm a smart player but I'm not fast enough to swim balls out on offense, so I save my energy for defense

Played tennis since 8th grade
- hated tennis at first but it grew on me
- this sport may be for pussies, but you have to practice your ass off to get good and even then people will call you a pussy for playing tennis, nobody will watch you play since its boring, and too many people are better than you so you don't win
- I've spent the most time on this sport, but I always choke in games.  Effort doesn't seem to correlate with results for me

Now that I've shared a shitload of information on me, whats the next best thing to do here.  Schools just about over and I've got a summers worth of time to start doing whatever I want.  Next year I'll still be pretty busy from school, but it'll be senior year and i'll just say yolo and go derp through classes so I can get more sleep as well.  I really want to dunk by next year so apparently I should just be squatting and losing BF according to this

Anything I miss?
