I got what I feel is a good pliometric program and do a lot of KB training, so I have the strength/explosiveness part of my vert training down for the most part.  My question on this post is, what types of practice/drills do you guys do to increase your vert with technique alone (aside from the exercise your leg muscles part).   Specifically, converting forward sprint momentum to vertical jump momentum, footwork, steps, etc.  What's worked for you guys?

When going up for a dunk, do you normally go off one foot, two, or both?   I ask cause last time I used to be able to dunk on reg (in HS) it was always off one foot.  The problem being that unless your step is just right or you have screaming hops, its almost impossible to pull this off in a game at my height (6' 1 1/2") and standing reach (7' 11 1/2").  It seems to me the guys with a two-footed jump are typically more consistent with being able to throw it down, no?   It always been more tough for me off both feet than 1 to get all my height in my jump, but I been practicing a little of both lately.  What do you guys think?

Introduce Yourself / Re: Nutrition for gettin' RIPPED

frozen veggies are the best thing as far as replacing junk so you can get cut.  they fill you up since they got tons of fiber and they're good for you.  1-2 cup frozen veggies microwaved for 2-3min with a lil salsa or spaghetti sauce for flavor plus a glass of water will kill the "starving" feeling you get that makes you want to grub on junk.  try it out sometime, worked wonders for me.  goodluck!

Whaddup ya'll-

Found adarq on youtube.  I am 6' 1 1/2", white, and weigh about 212lbs right now (down from all time high of about 240lb back in my 300+lb bench days).  I'm about 11-12% body fat percentage right now shooting to get down to about 8 or 9 soon hopefully (dropping a few more pounds in the process- I already have a visible 6 pack so almost there).  I train mostly with kettlebells and do some pliometrics with jumpsoles.  I can grab rim now easy off a drop step (haven't tried standing vert yet) and have about a 7'11 1/2" reach with shoes on.  My goal is to be able to dunk on regulation again (used to be able in high school).  Theres a park down the street from me with a 9 1/2' hoop (great for practice) and the other side is about an inch short at 9' 11" (also good to work up from).  I'll be posting a video soon of dunk practice on my youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/AnthonyC5R  .  Stay tuned!
