Probably the more speed you have, the less you will bend in your jump because bending more will overload too much and also make you "reset" and lose all that momentum.

You probably will bend more off a two-step approach or so.

I don't currently know what's wrong with my knee. I'll try it though.

I will try that but from what I'm aware of, the ITB can't really be stretched... it's just a myth. It doesn't respond to stretching.

Even a regular barbell would do that, provided there's enough weight.

Just ask J-Mike :D

My measurements indicate a 49 inch vert... although you can't see his legs touching the ground on the landing so it's just speculation, but it has to be pretty close. Doesn't look like an all-effort max jump either.

What about Shannon Brown or Shal as one-leg jumpers?

What about their arm swings (double/single arm swings and the moment of the arm swing). For example, I was playing NBA 2k10 and looking through the dunk packs, and it was one dunk when the guy would arm swing with his left arm during the pen-penultimate step and then again when he jumped).

So I guess a lot of stuff happens with the arm swing that gets overlooked.

Bone density improving in two weeks? I don't think so.

But really, the advantage of plyos vs. strength training is that only the plyos overload/or load at whatever intensity - the lower legs. In the squats and deadlifts the lower leg isn't nearly as active as in a plyometric effort, even at medium intensity.

I've always associated mitochondria with aerobic prowess... but it seems they actually generate ATP. Interesting.

Damn, you wouldn't want to know my dreams :D

I guess dreaming is the most imaginative expression of the human being (well, the brain, that's basically you).

It is suggested that adaptation had occurred both in neuromuscular functions and in metabolic processes.

What kind of metabolic processes?

But how can you overanalyze anymore if you do that?

NOT FAIR!
