I find it interesting that these folk recognise track shoes most of all. Damn, I wish I lived in such a bustling community with all those courts and shit. My buddy and I are joking about moving to Florida haha.

That dude that nailed the three was bulky too huh.

ya he was cool though, was asking me about my shoes, asked if i'm a "high jumper" etc hah.. he is a bit overweight but, he was hitting 3's all day.. those games aren't the best though at that park, lots of shitty lazy defense.. but his J was nice.

peace !

Hah yea. Was a sweet shot. I just thought he looked like he's damn strong. Bit big, but probably so damn strong.

The jumps are looking damn high. Nice. Is the foot bruised from planting?

ya i did a plant and after the landing felt it pretty bad.. had to stop soon after.. inferior to the big toe, right on the ball of foot pad.. feels like it got smushed weird.

felt fine during my workout #2 though, so hopefully it was just some kind of stinger.

peace

I've had that before man, exact same spot. Got it playing basketball in really low, hard soled shoes. It isn't comfortable but in my experience it wasn't much to be concerned about. As you said, kinda just went away. It did flare up in subsequent weeks but eventually disappeared though. It just means you're a powerhouse man!

Yeah you'll get some sweet ones man. Definitely have the pop. That one in the pic above must have been a make though right? Maybe soft but still a make?

That's a sweet fucken Vertec man. Jumps look higher than you said actually. Nice pop. Do you ever get much ache in your calves/ankles? and if so, do you still do lower body training on that day?

thanks man!

nah calfs are always fine.. it's usually my heel that bugs me, especially the lower left side.. has something to do with my LR plant.. it was bugging alot tonight actually, i think it's cause i didn't warm up too good, there was some rain clouds overhead so my warmup was really short.. thankfully it didn't rain but I really should never skip out on a warmup like that :/

if my calfs/heel is bugging i'll still squat/bodyweight etc.. if my ankle is bugging, in 'ligamentous' areas, then i won't squat.. i've hurt my 'deltoid ligament' pretty bad way back, and squatting made it worse.. so i'll avoid lower if that happens.

peace mang!

True, I think my I need to lean up to get rid of the aching I get from ADA's.  I know what you mean about the heel. Mine gets bruised when I'm carrying good speed into my DLRVJ's. Actually gets quite painful huh. I got a similar thing on the balls of my feet when I was doing a lot of SLRVJ's in very low soled shoes too actually. That which doesn't kill us... (only injures us in the future to be honest hahahah)

Looking lean man. Also still have that sort of powerful look with the traps, not just a skinny dweeb neck :D Getting your chest waxed will get you down a pound or two. You'll be flying then! hahahah.

nice man, how long you pausing on paused-BSS?

Somewhere between 1 and 2 seconds, Tempo was like 2-2-1.

nice nice!

x2 I haven't tried pausing at the bottom of heavy BB BSS but that seems pretty strong to me. Good stuff man.

oo adaraqui why are you doing so much volume? What are you training for?

to become a freak.. i'm training to be able to run a marathon if i wanted, great 10k/5k times, great mile time, sick sprinting speed, and sick running vert.. pretty much the complete package for athleticism.. it requires me training in multiple realms, anaerobic/aerobic.

i want 5k under 16min, 1mile under 5min again, running vert > 40.

peace man

Thats gonna be sick. What Im going for as well, except Im not going to train for anything over 400m.

I'll join you on that quest. You better not slack off on me and I won't either!

well, i'm pretty close to backboard on that jump.. probably even closer to backboard on this jump.. i think that backboard is like 9'2 or something... no idea tho.. i seem pretty close to hitting my head on backboard, the bottom.

this is on a miss :D

Simply put, both of those jumps are f***ing high. Really good shit.

Yea depending on how quick your eccentric and concentric is, more than 8 reps might even still fit in that energy system's timeframe.

Kill that bastard. I got stung by a wasp or bumble bee a couple years ago on the finger. I was embarrassed at how much it f*%^$% hurt. Damn thing swelled up for 2 or so weeks just itching like shit as zgin said.

I also remember having a spider bite as a kid, happened during my sleep. Would only have been a small spider but the poison made this gross pustule thing on my leg which fell off after a couple weeks LOL. Left a scar which I convince newbs to be a bullet wound   ;D

i just realized this mosquito bite i got on my ankle a few nights ago isn't actually a mosquito bite.. i never really looked at it, only would scratch it.. but it has two fang marks in it..

i havn't been able to sleep just thinking about the huge spider that must exist somewhere ready to take another chomp.

fml

Ok that's not good.
