Jump Science-Daniel Back

Ok so this probably isn't a program review but anyways I've recently saw this guy at he seems to be knowledgable and knows his stuff. And his 4-year program only costs $10 which shows he is not like a marketer or something. I just wonder if anyone know him and maybe invite him to the forum.

I've seen his vids before and he is cool. I liked his article on jumper's knee
"Performance during stretch-shortening cycle exercise is influenced by the visco-elastic properties of the muscle-tendon units. During stretching of an activated muscle, mechanical energy is absorbed in the tendon structures (tendon and aponeurosis) and this energy can subsequently be re-utilized if shortening of the muscle immediately follows the stretching. According to Biscotti (2000), 72% of the elastic energy restitution action comes from tendons, 28% - from contractile elements of muscles.

I purchased his program.  It's not really a 4 year program.  There are 15 levels depending on your access to weights (2 BW levels), flexibility (passing 2 'tests'), squat and your vertical to height ratio.  Each level has 3 4 week phases followed by a week of rest and testing.  If at the end of a phase you test out of that level, you begin the next phase in your new level is (e.g. at the end of Level A Phase 1 if you test into Level B you begin with Level B Phase 2.)  I personally think it's a solid program and have recommended it to others. 

I can't comment on how much it helped my vertical since I never did before & after vert measurements and my legs were very overworked with basketball leagues at the time.  I can say that I got my highest leap on a dunk ever in while I was doing this program (clean dunk with the ball 1-2in above the rim...~35in vert for me I believe.)  Once I start back on it in Feb/Mar I'll be sure to take some measurements.
