bw = 159
soreness = calfs, shin muscles (peronals/ant tib)
aches/injuries = calfs tight, right lateral knee a bit

workout:
- ~1 hour of jumping, all sub max, couldn't jump max if i tried.. did every style of plant (slrvj/dlrvj) and standing verts.. about 40min in when my jumping was dropped off, i started working on just focusing on my ankles during the jump, really 'flicking them'.. got up 2-3 inches higher heh.. so then i did some harder jumps and got up nice but i couldn't do the flick thing from full run up.. lights turned off, i wanted to do tons more just working on that.. i think im going to jump again tomorrow to work on it again.. it's kind of like the 'flick of the wrist' when shooting a jumper, but instead with the feet, i remember my dad translated a ziani video where he mentioned that.
- walking lunges: BW @ 6 x 50tot
- S1:neutral grip pullups: 10, 7 <-- toast
- S1: dips: 5, 3 <-- toast haha
- S2: ghr: 5, 5, 5, 3, 3, 2, 1 <-- that last single took a really long time, fought it.. hamstrings were strong on ghr tonight
- S2: calf raise: 30, 30, 40, 20, 20, 10, 10

man i been out of it all day.. very tired etc.. hehe

got in a good stretch few hours later.. hams/quads/chest/bottom of feet/top of foot & shin muscles.

pc

edit: overlays from the other day

i plan on peaking saturday.. gotta 1-up those jumps.

That would be a great achievement, but it's ambitious for sure!

Only if you catch it on film.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

bw = 160
soreness = calfs a little
aches/injuries = right knee a little

workout:
- jumps: about 30 minutes of DLRVJ (LR & RL) submax.. SVJ's too, but max effort.. svj's were surprisingly not bad.
- 7 mile run (slow pace, felt great)
- walk 2 miles <- i hit a major stoplight at 7miles with tons of traffic so after i slowed down i was just like F it.

weight before workout: 163
weight after workout: 154

haha.. lots of water loss..

rehydrated to 162 within an hour hehe!

peace

possible theme for next dunk vid (using old footage for this, but next dunk vid would of course be recent footage):

i'm thinking, dunking in a post apocolyptic world, ie, "the road - dunking"

bw = 158
soreness = nothing
aches/injures = left heel, right big toe, except for just now grandpa's legs gave out so had to lift him up - back bugging a bit

workout:
- jumps, better than last few days
- ~5 mile run
- C1: squat singles: 225
- C1: jump rope: 100-200 turns
- C1-info: only 4 rotations
- neutral grip pullups: 10
- dips: 5
- chinups: 7

wanna do some dunks tomorrow early, shouldn't be too fatigued, not looking to peak or anything.

peace

you said you were gonna make a video about your dunking journey?

that would be pretty sick..it depends how low are the first jumps? i mean if you went from mid 20's to what you have now would be a pretty tight and long journey....

i don't understand the cloud bro, what am i missing?

nope, no vid about dunking journey.. i just said i was going to edit videos a little more crazy if im jumping near 40.

btw i started out at 27 back whenever i started, which was actually good for me back then, cause i was so lean/light (coming off boxing).

yea, i would have to guess boxers have average verts cuz they do so much endurance stuff

but think about it adarq's journey to 45(or whatever #) from 27...would be ight if you edit it well

i don't have film of 27 or anything, only 31.. was too embarrassed to video tape 124" touches.

:)

i'd imagine most boxer's have average or less than avg verts, but some of those guys are ridiculously lean/explosive, i imagine if they practiced jumping they wouldn't be too bad off a run.. we sometimes forget that many of these basketball addicts put in tons of conditioning yet still get up fine off the run.
