Haven't logged this month. 255 on squats has been slow reverse progress. Couldn't get the time together to give it a solid go last week. Yesterday was a bit demotivating as 225 felt like 250. Positive side is my deadlift feels better. I will just keep cracking, I like to think my strength is playing a bit of hide and seek.

Felt super lazy yesterday, Tried to come up with a solid excuse to slack off. Once I got under the bar I felt a bit better. Got in a few reps with 255. Just 2 days ago that felt impossible. still working towards 5x5. Also I have not tried bench press this month after taking my son to the skate board park and landing hard on my wrist. Its getting better but felt best not to push it.

Ended up doing some manual labor in the yard on Saturday, but got In my lifts on Sunday morning. Got more reps in with 255 then Thursday so still progressing. I don't feel particularly strong or explosive lately.

Another disappointing week. Tuesday I couldn't move any weight. My wrist is still bothering me, so bench is getting cut for more healing. Felt better by sunday, but still not breaking any new ground on 255.

Been waiting for my motivation to return. it took a while. I did max out last week. 285# squat and 305# dead.

Last Friday night I picked up trap bar to add to the garage gym. Pretty awesome as I have wanted one for years but was too cheap to pay freight to have one shipped. Used it a couple of times now and I like the movement.

Got some more low rim dunks in last week also. I jump horribly with a ball, and have not practiced lobs in years. It is a horribly sad sight  I am sure. Been at the same job for years and made a switch last week. should be for the better but it leaves some things up in the air. Feel like I barely train as it is, hopefully this doesn't give me more excuses.

productive or not, you're still getting these sessions in .. which is more effective than what i've done several times: fall off & just ditch everything, and end up detraining completely.

it's interesting how our psychology always comes into play .. I mean, your squat isn't progressing but you made some progress on deadlift, you're still training - thus not detraining .. so, you're still "hanging on" while in a down phase, which allows you to be much better prepared for the next up phase.

just keep maintaining & pushing when you can, but then really take advantage of your upswings.

also cool with the dunks. people with freak verts off dribble always amaze me, especially when it looks like they aren't relying on arm swing at all.. just looks insane.
