During today's training session, it went excellent. A kid from my neighbor wanted to train so i taught a few stuff and he did the same training as me but at his pace.

This gave me the opportunity to have someone hold the stop watch for me.

During my flying sprint a total of 72m he was timing me up to the 36m point and i would continue running.

I am going to take the time as it is. Start and stop. I told him to start once i run, he might have delay but by a few milliseconds or not couldn't tell but will take it as assuming he timed it right.

and i got ..... well he said he read ...

Distance: 36 Metres
Time: 00:03:99

I averaged it to 4 Seconds which is also a personal best for me.

:personal-record:   :personal-record:   :personal-record:

Which i calculated the speed to estimate time for 100m which came to 11.11s  :personal-record:

My goal is to get 3.7 and less. I felt really fast.

Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

cross-posted from my journal, here are some of my jumps from saturday. noticed that i'm still kind of leaning back on the approach, which is something that lance suggested i fix on my last video. when i try to lean forward it just feels really awkward. any other feedback?

I think it looks much better than before, especially better speed.

I have the tendency to jumpmorning but I would love to be able to keep a more vertical torso like you're naturally doing. When I jumpmorning I go forward more than up because my torso is oriented down and also, as I raise, my knees have the tendency to collapse foward.

That doesn't happen to you though so...
