We have moved address.

Please post in the same format, so updating will be easier.

Straps are accepted

1RM can be calculated from 5 reps or lower with the following calculator:
http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneRepMax.html

Remember vid to prove your claim.

Remember to tape a weight measurement for the relative list. It does not necessarily need to be on the spot, but at least the same day. This is a must for the relative strength list.

don't know if half squat counts, but 325 x 5 half squat @ 154 lb.

relative strength = 2.37 based on 365 half squat 1RM.. if i use a more reasonable 1RM, i'm at 2.25

pC! cool thread.

Ill just make a half squat rank. We know we have plenty of halfsquatters on board.

Vid?

What calculator did you use?

And define halfsquat. How deep? 90 degrees between tibia and femur?

EDIT

Squat - 2.00 - 158kg @ 79 kg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGiVdgRyL5I
*projected through exrx I'd say about 1,85 right now realistically, form was off too, do not have tape of weight measurement.

You just gotta believe me. Haven't tested 1RM in I don't know how long, so these are old. Also I'm about 2kg/7lbs heavier now. Once I've gotten strength up a little bit more I'll test again. Next up: 182/400 DL.

I want video for three reasons.

1. Its cool to be able to see the persons lift
2. Some people are not as honest as you and me
3. I want to make sure that the squat is deep enough, the dl locked out, etc etc.

Squat | 2.1BW x5 | 405 / 192lb | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWiOKP3MAa0

i dont go heavy so no 1RM attempts. the 425lb vid i had was an ugly warmup single.

i dont deadlift. 6-3 wingspan for a 5'10 makes it very easy for me to DL very heavy weights. DL back in 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-Fm0fwDGN4

Well I weight 193lbs in the morning with no clothes on. Max (tested) at 385lbs squat, full squat. Right after that hit 335x7. Can probably hit 390lbs right now (since I went up from 335@10x3 to 345@10x3).

But all I have right now is a vid of 320x5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVP0HG6GvDo
Video is dated October 16th, 2010. Now it's February 8th, so that's... 16 weeks and 3 days. 115 days ago?!??! Wow wtf, I'm supposed to be squatting much more than 385 but now I remember, that 320x5 was right before I hit my major slump and then finals week and then my job... bad times.

320x5 puts me at 360lbs. I hope you'll take my word that I hit 25 more pounds than that 115 days later.

I'll be sure to get 405lbs on vid next month.

I cant take your word for the 25 extra pounds

FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Today I'm doing 7x5 at 320 so recording today won't improve my ranking haha...
Friday's 8x4 at 335 and that improves the est 1RM a bit.
Saturday's 10x3 at 355 and that improves it even more so.

I'll record 355x3 and that gives me an est. max of 386lbs on http://www.nsca-lift.org/fly%20solo%20program/onearm.asp

Then I won't have complaints :)

Estimated max at 376 from http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneRepMax.html which is the one I use. Its more likely that the lower result is a true 1RM. At least thats more true for me.

What the fuck is a "Hang Power Clean?" You either do a Hang Clean, or a Power Clean. It's not one thing. A Hang Clean is pretty much half of a power clean.

I never said he didn't fully clean it. I said it wasn't a power clean AKA clean from the floor.

Knees over toes is not absolutely fine. Where'd you get the pic? A elementary health ed. book?

It's what you're calling a hang clean. A hang clean is a squat clean done from the hang. You're misunderstanding what clean is.

Oh this guy looks like a pretty avid squatter... Are his knees even close to passed his toes? No, I know I can do a free squat without my knees coming close to passing my toes. A "squat" requires your knees to be directly above your toes to reap ANY explosive or reactive benefits.

And I KNOW he did a Hang Clean... BUT the category says POWER CLEAN. Not Hang Clean. 2 completely different lifts. Therefore his lift doesn't count as it wasn't from the floor. Jeez, I never dissed his lift. It was a good one, just not a power clean.

There is no such thing as a power squat clean. Power refers to catching with the hips above parallel. Catching with the hips below parallel is just a clean (as in clean and jerk).

Power clean is from the floor bro. Like im telling you, no matter what you say... You're wrong. Just like a Power squat clean is from the floor then squatted. Hang clean is no more than 90 degree knee bend. Hang squat clean is when you squat it dumb shit. Jesus. I was making a point that his vid doesn't belong in the power clean section because it is not a power clean. It is a hang clean.

There is no such thing as a power squat clean. Power refers to catching with the hips above parallel. Catching with the hips below parallel is just a clean (as in clean and jerk).

wow tychver, u really like feeding the troll xD

Trolls are fun. Keep your replies basically to "No. You're wrong."

Gonna go ahead and call out Adarq on his half squats. How your knees feel bro?  :o For someone who claims to be so knowladgeable on explosive movements that's pretty bad; When in any athletic position do your knees ever cross in front of your toes?

No , knees are NEVER in front off toes , especially in jumping!

Thank you for making my point. Watch Adarq's Half Squat vid... Every single time his knees pass his toes. Like I said.

great post by vag above, it's hilariosu that pretty much the entire 'various plants thread' has knees over toes.. i mean it's so obvious that happens in ACTUAL jumping athletes.. fo people who sit back a ton in their squats, and also overdo strength training (far more than jumping/reactive), then you'll actually see them sit back more in their jumps, but they usually can't jump for shit.

RVJ 38" vid?

i'll post some pics, the 'marker' i use is this wrist band, 4.75" long without being stretched, so ~5" being stretched out.. i put it up about 1" on my palm, so when i measure from fingertip to the end of it, it's 12-12.5" depending.. so 132 - 95 (standing 1arm) = 37.. on some of these pics you can see i'm about 1" lower than that on 10', also sometimes i'm not fully stretched out and im easily right at the base of it.. anyway that's how i measure..

all of the below dunk pics came within one month of each other.. didn't go back any further.

Dont hold back though. Give me heat if this is incorrect and Ill change it.

Just read your journal and I now get the bar thickness video. BUT!! in my gym I have bars with different thickness and they weigh the same. Weigh the bar on a scale and the 415 squat it yours.

In your journal it says your bw is 200. Is this right? Cause then Ill edit.

Strong squat man. Much more there for sure.

Damn I asked the trainer and he said it was 55lbs but I dont have proof, you're right. The only reason I hate having 405lbs there is because you're At 407 lol! I weigh 200lbs with my sneakers sweatpants iPod phone and stuff with food and water in me. Nude in the morning I weigh 193. I list 200 for when I do the chins because that's what I'm actually liftin at that point.

Well if theres a scale at your gym just pop it on there and videotape it. Problem solved.

Your 405 looking easy man. Youll beat my 407 ez.

It should really be the weight when you lift, like in my 1,5xBW video. But I can see if you loose the pants, shoes and stuff you should be sub 200. How much do you think?

1RM can be calculated from 5 reps or lower with the following calculator:
http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneRepMax.html

Remember vid to prove your claim.

Remember to tape a weight measurement for the relative list. It does not necessarily need to be on the spot, but at least the same day. This is a must for the relative strength list.

Just reminding you of the rules everyone. Remember that weight measurement. Its as important as the video of the weight.

not that i'm the judge, but i feel like even surface keeps it fair. we don't all have sandpits to jump into.

I can use my neighborgh's cat toilet as my sandbox. It's an old medicine ball (actually basketball filled with sand) that's cut in half now so that the cat can take shits in it. I guess that's the proper use of old basketballs. SANDPIT BABY!

Problem is my knees explode from doing the broad jumps on hard surfaces because i always try to get a big distance...

Bball has a point though. Sandpit does inflate numbers a little because of the landing, so Ill have to say no sandpit.

I need to get in on this. I can't compete in the squats cause of my knees but I can try to get good videos of my jumps. I used to have a decent standing long jump (broad jump) so I'll try to get some vids up on that.

Great mang. You do that. I should get a broadjump filmed as well. Probably when the weather changes Ill do that.

You need to get a weight measurement in the videos for the relative list. The rest has been updated. Either add the weight measurement to the video or make a seperate video. I need a vid like that for every new relative vid.

lol, i don't get it! You want weight measurement on video but on the other hand you include calculated 1RMs...

If you don't want to update my old lifts, just take them out of the relative list. There was also no video proof of my weight!

How does that argument make sense? I allow calculated 1RMs because 1RM lifts in my perspective are relatively more dangerous because of form breakdowns.

I want weightmeasurements on video because that way theres no doubt the person weighs what he claims. Do I call you a liar? No. Do I think you would try and cheat? No. But somebody might, so cutting everyone equally.

Well I accepted those because I wanted to get the list going. I have from the start stated in the rule post, that I wanted a weightmeasurement with the video. If you dont want to provide such a vid I can take them of the relative list, but I think that would be a shame since youre one of the strongest guys on board relative to weight and it would be a small matter to make a weightmeasurement on video.

Your call.
