This is the rope I have:

Buddy Lee Rope Master

http://www.buddyleejumpropes.com/Buddy-Lee-Jump-Ropes-Rope-Master-p/bl-roperm.htm

It's pretty fast.. it's never "come apart" when I mess up with it. Has nice long handles for a variety of grips.

Just bought that one on amazon...kinda funny though they have 2 listings next to each other for that jump rope, and one of them says with free extra cable and yet it costs 10 bucks more lol.

So hopefully friday I will get to use it
Monday
.5 mile run warm up, squat, bench, deadlift
Tuesday
1 mile run, xfit
Wednesday
1 mile run, bodyweight day
Thursday
.5 mile run, db/machines
Friday
1 mile run, xfit
Saturday
1 mile run, bodyweight day.

Adarq, since you have the most experience probably jump roping, how about setting weekly goals for the jump ropers out there like by friday you gotta get in 5k reps or 4 hours worth in or something.

Also, I read a few things that said 10 minutes of jump rope is equal to or greater than 30 mins of slow paced cardio burnin calories wise, do you think thats somewhat accurate?

damn never replied. dno.. upper body cardio gets the HR higher .. upper + lower = sick combo. I imagine most of the jump rope numbers outworking running are accurate.
