also, I think Rondo is a PERFECT fit with LEBRON. That was a very slick move.

They need a nice backup PG now..

rondo can't shoot though. what'll happen when lebron dribbles for 18 seconds, drives, then kicks it to him?

also re: boogie, GSW could be perfect. he can spend the first 40-50 games rehabbing, the last 30-40 games playing his way into shape and cohesion with the team, and then turn them into a shapeshifting monster in the playoffs.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

sunday: long very easy run 80+ mins @ 5:40+ (14+ km)
monday: strength/cross training

wednesday: easy run 60+ mins @ 5:20-5:30 (11+ km)
thursday: easy run 60+ mins @ 5:20-5:30 (11+ km), strength/cross-training

at first glance, Cousins doesn't seem like a good fit for GSW .. but, GSW being in the West, they're already one of the "tough teams", with Draymond etc.. Now with Cousins, more bruising. Seems like an elite West AND elite East team now. kinda nuts.

hoping Cousins is healthy.

just want to see the West go nuclear.. seems like it's a nuclear arms race in the West. this is fun shit. LMAO.

btw.. Lonzo won't last in LA. I expect he'll be gone soon tbh.. His dad is just too much for LEBRON.

I think the biggest Boogie bonus is that he can shoot threes now. If he's not going to be featured much on offense (which you would presume), they might just have him camped on the 3pt line, and he can rebound everything on defense - basically Javale McThree. Ridiculous that the GSW could somehow add to their talent this summer.....madness.

I also could see the Lakers shipping Lonzo+Ingram/Kuzma for Kawhi Leonard soon. They have been really high on Lonzo (who is quite good despite his bad shooting), but LeBron changes everything.

can't believe raps gave up DeRozan for Kawhi..

such a weird trade. DeRozan seemed like a TOR-lifer, and I mean he definitely seemed worthy of it. He always showed up in the playoffs for raps as well.

Kawhi will be out of there after next year.. wtf?

awful trade.

This is definitely the weirdest move I've seen anyone make. Just did not make sense.

I do think that once he gets over the initial shock, DeRozan should be happy to play under Pop. As someone who regularly struggles on the big stage this could be a good move for him. The downside is that he's now in the West with Lebron haha

right but that's the thing... no more LEBRON in the East.. and they trade him now? what? they have a chance to finally get out of the playoffs in the East (though philly is strong) and onto the NBA finals, and they trade him now? wtf? and the trade doesn't actually make their team better, nor does it set them up for the future (afaics). just an absolute garbage move IMHO.

this is a great reason why I support athletes, not teams and the team owners/management :D

I was listening to a few guys over the weekend and it seems TOR were going to rebuild and this will basically blow the team up. If you keep Kawaii that's a win. If you trade for him next season and get lots of goods in return that's also a win. I don't think Toronto were ever going to beat Boston anyway so maybe not a bad move. Shit way to deal with it but the strategy seems sound.

IMHO, they just needed a few more pieces to the existing squad.. veteran team, knows how to play well together, with a renewed fire now that LEBRON is in the West.. guaranteed better chances to make a run at the finals. Instead, they just set themselves back. I just don't see it. I don't think it'll work out well, at all. Definitely a blow up move.... but one that they won't recover from for quite some time, is my prediction.

lakers have randle and ingram, they are both beasts.... lonzo ball sucks, i'm going to say it straight up, HE IS NOT GOOD.... poor mechanics, poor base strength.... there's literally dozens and dozens of players in his class that have better potential given his opportunities.....

I think Lonzo will be toast with this new squad. It's really going to expose him. Don't expect him to be a Laker for too long.

2017 draft class was really decent.. I'd have picked alot of other athletes before picking Lonzo, that's for sure.

the demarr for kawahi trade.... nba teams can make some bad decisions... sometimes u wonder what are they doing.... but this one.... u really can't fault toronto....

demarr is a great goto player, but kawahi is a once in a generation type player.... how many 6'7 guards are there that has bigger hands than MJ and bigger wingspan than scottie pippen? and has skills, can shoot from anywhere on the court....

its a risk that toronto had to take...

I dno.

I like Kawhi, but I wouldn't even put him on DeRozan's level (yet). DeRozan has proven himself to be able to carry a team, consistently, year after year. Kawhi has not. Kawhi had alot of help early on in his career, an incredible team/organization/coach. Even then, his abilities weren't mindblowing. He hasn't been "the leader" for too many years, only like 2?

Without Lebron in the East, do you go with the question-mark, or do you guy with the sure thing? Do you go with Kawhi who will be a free agent after 1 year (I think?) and will undoubtedly leave, or do you go with the lifer? Do you go with the guy who is coming off a major injury (missed basically all of last season), or do you go with the guy who has proven durable his whole career?

No brainer for me -> DeRozan.

To me, it still makes absolutely no sense.

Also, look at how mad DeRozan has been following the trade. This guy was committed to Toronto. He'd have given everything to get them to the finals, year after year. Kawhi was pretty much good riddance to the Spurs..

DeRozan 100%
