"Put your mother in a straight jacket you punkass white boy! Come here and tell me that before I fuck you in the ass you punk whiteboy! You faggot! You can't touch me you're not man enough.  I'll eat your asshole alive; you bitch; fuck you, you hoe.  ....Come and say it to my face before I fuck you in your ass in front of everybody! You bitch! Come on, you bitch! You scared coward! You're not man enough to fuck with me.  You can't last 2 minutes in my world. Look at you, you're scared now! You hoe! Scared like a little white pussy. Scared of a real man. I'll fuck you until you love me faggot!"

and not really a boxing quote.. he was talking to a reporter or someone in the audience, IIRC.

i'm pretty sure at this stage in his life, he himself wouldn't call that a great quote.. Tyson was in a very bad place mentally, during that time.

that's more of a "person in a downward spiral losing it quote"..

wow what did i do to enrage you so bad?  i thought it was a really funny press conference.... is there something wrong with that?

because homophobia of any kind, especially the violent kind, is vile. why the hell would you celebrate it?

Yes you're right, it's not cool to celebrate that kind of anger/rage.... but don't get me started with politics/propaganda/etc

to me, the context of it being associated with "the greatest quote in boxing if not all of history" is what annoyed me.

Tyson has some crazy quotes.. Some of which are pretty good.. The one you listed is batshit & was said in a time in his life where he was in a downward spiral, always contemplating suicide. If you strip the politics & social issues out of it, to me (my opinion) it's still not a funny quote.

https://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/m/mike_tyson.html

He has some great quotes..

This one is legendary: "Everyone has a plan 'till they get punched in the mouth."

Brutal: "I've lived in places these guys can't defecate in."

Truth, lmao: "When Jesus comes back, these crazy, greedy, capitalistic men are gonna kill him again."

Real shit: "Real freedom is having nothing. I was freer when I didn't have a cent."

Truth: "It's good to know how to read, but it's dangerous to know how to read and not how to interpret what you're reading."

he's got tons of gems.. so I guess my main issue with your original post, is that you picked one of his shitty quotes he said while partially crying out of manic anger.

no identity of my own? you called me a poli-correct super left wing douche bag in the preceding sentence. if that's not an identity, i don't know what is. you can't have it both ways.

to answer your question: it's great. "political correctness" is a chickenshit term used by people who don't like to feel uncomfortable when their power is challenged by the people they oppress. when someone says it, what they mean is, e.g., "i really wish i could still get away with calling women who don't want to have sex with me 'cold bitches' without anyone calling me out on it." being left wing means that i believe that power -- financial, political, social, cultural -- should be shared equitably among all people, rather than concentrated in a few hands and wielded to oppress the majority. currently the world mainly follows the latter model, but fighting to move people toward greater equality and against oppression gives my life purpose. i'm pretty okay with that.

as far as being a douche bag: if i've been rude to you sometimes, i apologize. i was more patient as a little kid than i am as an adult and that bothers me sometimes. you are deeply irritating as an online presence. sometimes you make good posts and i like to follow your training, but a lot of the time i wish it were easier to avoid you. you make that difficult by spamming the board with so many threads.
