Have been following Diane Fu on IG for a while and she's at a Chinese lifting camp with plenty of champs and some WR holders training there. She's posting a ton of vids on her IG along with a heap of stories showing their training. Pretty interesting stuff.

Especially cool to see what they do with a lack of equipment. Case in point...

The Chinese work so hard, it's insane. But not sure if it's the smartest way to go about it. Smart is > volume.
33yrs | 24in SVJ | >45% BF | 227LB | 5'9 | 7'5 reach | 400lb max squat paused | 5'8 wingspan | 26in RVJ

Coming back from 2 years of inactivity!

Goal: Maintain 385-405lb squat while cutting down to 165 LB

I think if you look at the end results their methods may just work.

But to my knowledge china is also one of the only countries where they teach olympic weightlifting in such a systematic way from early childhood on. I mean these kids live there and weightlifting is pretty much the only thing they do day in and day out. Plus I think chinese weightlifters often have optimal proportions (short legs, longer torso). But yeah their methods definitely work. I would consider their technique to be one of the best out there... gotta love those squat jerks :lololol:

V true. I kind of wish we had state sponsored sport here in Aus.

You are right thought that some of the methods would not be considered the safest out there.
