Progress Journals & Experimental Routines / Re: THE DREAM JOURNAL
« on: July 03, 2016, 10:46:24 pm »
Hahaha I laughed in real life when I read that, especially since my back hurts so bad now

lol me too. except the back pain part.

my brother (the disappearing one) and i were sharing a room at this motel that we stayed at up in MA. he falls asleep before me and talks in his sleep a lot so i got a sense of a couple of his dreams. in one he was trying to get into a residential treatment program. introduced himself to whomever he was talking to on the phone, asked some questions about the program, asked for their fax number, etc. very thorough and polite. the other was more incoherent, kept saying the name of a major street near where we grew up and talking about crossing it.

meanwhile, in MY dream last night i was awake, reading, in the room and he was asleep. then he woke up and stood up to go to the bathroom. i looked over and he was naked from the waist down, and his dick was about 2 feet long and shaped like a wooden dowel with a hot dog skewered lengthwise on the end of it. that's all i remember. fucking weird.

wtf. weird++

when life hands you hotdogs skewered at the end of a 2" penis:

looks delicious.

also.. i'm a huge Wade/MIA fan but honestly, i'd also be happy to see him in CHICAGO.. going "back home" and landing some major money.

I guess i'm different though.. I like players moving around, it's fun. :ninja:

I still want Durant in MIA tho.. c'mon riles.

i love tyler johnson, but let him go, if that means more money for Wade or Durant.

ya definitely.. Lebron/Cavs got the east on lock right now. It used to be easier to get out of the East, but right now, you're going to have to get past the Cavs juggernaut; they are going to be even better next year.

If Durant leaves the West, then the West will probably be easier to get out of than the East.. that's an interesting change in the power structure. Right now it's GSW/OKC/LAC/POR, those teams are STACKED. In the east, it's pretty much just CLE.. but who knows, maybe it'll be CLE/NY, and maybe even MIA. Alot depends on Durant imho.. if he stays, legit threat to GSW next year.. if he leaves for the east, most likely a legit threat to CLE.

exciting ;d

So you literally remember that you were coding in Haskell? That level of detail?

yup

specifically, in the last dream, i was coding sanitizers/validators for all of my record types.

last night i dreamt that I was getting an exam on my anus, and they wanted to remove this issue on my sacral spine, but to remove it they would have to insert an 11" diameter probe into my anus. horrible dream.

unfortunately, no coding dreams last night.

did a ton of programming today.. most notably, created two new libraries: ln-validate and ln-sanitize. these are now handling validation/sanitization of the request structures coming in on the API.. working really well, even though i only implemented a few things. Also added more instances to haskell-interop-prime (Read, Eq, Show, QueryParam; for haskell), (Read, QueryParam; for purescript).

here's the actual code being generated for the forum project:
- haskell: https://github.com/adarqui/ln-types/blob/master/src/LN/T/Internal/JSON.hs
- purescript:
- https://github.com/adarqui/purescript-ln/blob/master/src/LN/T/Internal/Convert.purs
- https://github.com/adarqui/purescript-ln/blob/master/src/LN/Api/Internal.purs
- https://github.com/adarqui/purescript-ln/blob/master/src/LN/Api/Internal/String.purs

haha!#!@$ I was writing all of that by hand initially.. so glad I took a few weeks to invest in writing a code generation tool. now with my code-gen tools, I write the types, the specs, and bam, generates a ridiculous amount of code so I can seamlessly talk between haskell & purescript.

<- beast (jk).

I also created a little starting point for the project.. just in case anyone (if ever) is curious about it. Though, two of the most important repositories are still private for now, until we launch this thing.

Any specific language?

ya, haskell (which implies purescript also). it's all i've been coding in for a while. and i've been coding so much over the last 2 months that it's no wonder i'm starting to dream about it (& solve some problems in my dreams etc). brain is just really focus/locked in.

third straight night i've dreamt about programming.. ie, actually programming in my dreams. It's cool to have such dreams and then wakeup and start programming some of the stuff you dream about.. weird but awesome.

I thought this season was kinda weak. Almost like they needed more guidance from the book that is yet to be finished. Having said that it's definitely set up for a big next season.

I read all the books before watching the show so this season I finally know how everyone else experienced game of thrones.. not knowing what's gonna happen for once lol. My favorite scene from the books was the oberyn mountain fight, it hit me in a way that the show hasn't  been able to. After reading that scene I got super giddy and fired up for like 30 minutes, could not calm down lol

that scene was rough.. i was amp'd to see oberyn wreck the mountain the way he did, but then bam, they punched me in the nuts.

I have a lot of people in my Facebook list "complaining" about how "ridiculous" these salaries are. I'm like "no, there's nothing special about 153 million that isn't special about 100 mil or 10 mil". The market decides how much is too much or how much is too little. Obviously, if the team decided to offer him 153 mil $, then that's their decision. Then in their view, that is not too much. Nothing to comment on. That's the financial context of the NBA right now.

of course there's something to comment on.. I imagine they could have given 153 million to Durant, not Conley; that would have been a far better investment.... Maybe i'm just not clued to how all of this works, but giving so much money to one guy who hasn't even been an allstar caliber player seems like a bad move. Why not use more of that money to bring in an elite player? (unless for some reason they couldn't)

Quote
On the other hand, Wade was offered only 10 mil :D by the Heat.

unless there's some promise of ~100 million next year, he should peace out. :/
