From what I know "stretching the IT band" is just a myth, since it's too dense to be stretched at all.

It seems to me the RL plant with right hand dominant creates a different style of dunking then the LR plant with right hand dominant. With his his style of plant it really allow him to jump sideways and bring the ball back.. I really envy this as it makes for much smoother dunking especially for in game dunks..

You think?!

Yeah I'm a pretty sexy individual. I guess I should stay in each game, right?

ANYWAY, yeah what you're saying sounds like a "grown-up" version of basketball. Here it's everybody for himself and that's that. At least in the team I played for. There are other teams but I played in the worst one :P

It's due to the quads overgrowing everything else IMO. When that happens you become a 2-leg jumper. It never happened for me though.

Here we were all paying for the refereeing the same amount of money, except some were playing 5 minutes and some were playing 35 minutes. I was like "since I PAY to play you can't criticize anything I do at all. If you were paying me to play, THEN you'd have to right to criticize me".

And since we all pay the same amount of money for the refereeing when we play a different amount of time on the court, then it's even worse.

So finally I said "fuck you" and left.

One of them had the guts to say I'm too "slow" for them (because I play cerebrally and never go on suicide drive missions over the defense). I was about to say "hey, let's have a 50m sprint, whoever loses gets to be kicked in the balls by the winner".

I swear I don't get the 2-leg jump... how can people plant like that and not have their legs slip from underneath them is beyond me.

I just never take shots. If I see a teammate open I ALWAYS pass him the ball. The reverse is never true, however. They all play for themselves and want to take as many (bad) shots as possible. That's why I stopped playing. That was really retarded.

The most I have ever scored in an official game in my life was 5 points.

- squat 335 x 1; 345 x 1; 275 x 4,4
holy crap. i had 355 for sure, which would have been a PR tie. 345 went up fast. decided not to push it, though. no point in grinding. warmed up with HB until 135.

Just a few sessions of high-bar squatting and your already PRing in the low-bar.  Carryover!

That's what I said to him too. It appears LBSS has very strong hips but is lacking in quad and calf strength/efficiency/power. If he gets that up then... you know...

squatted 345 with absolutely no psyche up and it was solid. not an absolute PR but for non-stim'd state that's a PR for sure. 1.95x bw with no stim. sweet.

I wonder if doing those high bar squats lately potentiated your quads or something.

I guess starting with basic stuff like line drills and rudimentary hops is a good way to go. It will teach you to stay on the balls of the feet and be reactive, as in depend more on the relaxed way of jumping instead of muscling your way up. The emphasis should be on relaxation and speed, not height.
