ya FS always made me feel like a monster with jumping, just didn't stick with it due to some stuff i experienced with my upper back (knots/aches) & clavicle/shoulder aches.. Looking back though, would have been nice if I was more consistent with FS, I do feel it could potentially have been better for improving jumping ability than back squatting .. but i'd rather just have both in my routine. Also, High rep front squats made me feel like I was suffocating myself.

interesting how i prefer using RL to dunk but prefer using LR to jump up and touch things lol.

this I do not understand..............  :ninja:

do you reach up with a different hand? or same hand? for dunking: LR with L-hand seems better than LR with R-hand... similar to RL with L-hand being better than RL with R-hand.

I could never do it though.. defaulted to jumping max and dunking the same exact way.

Bw low of 89.6 today. Sub 90 for the first times since May where I scraped in at 89.9. Not sure if it's genuine loss or not though. Had too much fish oil yesterday (if you know how that ends) and haven't had creatine in 2-3 weeks. I wanted to end the year sub 90 though so I've got 10 days including Christmas and New Years to solidify that position.

well that's some good news at least.. nice! don't let x-mas blow you up over 95 :ninja:

hahaha I'm saving myself for the traditional xmas day blowout but have been accommodating any drinking/shitty food eating by simply not eating as much at other times. Has worked well so far.

- right VMO felt ok for most of the run, got a bit tighter at the end so cut the workout short.. even though I did ~9.x miles total. I wanted to do over ~11-13 if i felt fine.
- shoes: nb 5000v2's
- At a nice rubber track

speed: 9.1 miles in 1h:20m:xxs
- with group: 1 mile warmup, 6 x 800m (standing rest)
- by myself: 6 x 400m (jog recovery), ~2 miles





those ~800's were incredibly easy.. i felt really good on those.. also my foot strike is really quiet, ninja style.

happy about my running lately, aside from the vmo strain .. I think this could be a really good training phase.. I'd like to push my "mixed speed/distance" sessions into the 15+ mile range. Since i'm running every other day, the rest helps me recover and get ready to kill it in these big sessions. I really want to push the mileage up a bit because i'm trying to really improve my base fitness & bring down my resting HR.

15+ mile mixed speed/distance sessions are solid.. Right now i'm basically at ~10.. 15-20 would be ideal, i imagine.. ~2-2.5 hours of work.. legs, heart, mind, etc could get pretty bionic.. Going to keep chipping away at this new training style.

Also, might hit up another nice track on Thursday.

- legs are so toast, quads especially. ~400m jog rest between the 800's & 400's. lost like 5 lb. of water weight this session, it was really hot. feet were soaked.

So after the bernard hopkins fight against smith, it was jim lampley who mentioned this that there was an agreement
BETWEEN DANIEL JACOBS AND GENNADY GOLOVKIN TO FIGHT EACH OTHER IN 18TH MARCH.

Now I am definitely looking forward to this fight, I feel that maybe gennady golovkin may have found a tough opponent and may lose his ko streak in this one.

that's a serious fight!!!! I don't think Jacobs will be able to survive Golovkin & get to a decision ... BUT, he does have the skill / power to potentially KO Golovkin. We've seen GGG rocked by some shots lately .. those shots coming from Jacobs could cause serious damage.

Someone's getting KO'd.. I just think that's definitely going to be Jacobs.

Either way, that should be a really good fight.

Damn, I saw that fight too. He got unconscious and was on the ropes and smith was still landing blows until he fell out of the ring on his head.

Damn that is scary especially on the floor where there is less padding on the floor if not none.

ya man there should definitely be padding on the floor.. imagine if he whipped his head hard and smacked it directly into the hard surface, could be dead.

it seems like he landed on his upper back first.. lucky for him.

wanted to eat a burger tonight...... but I was at this "spot" where every good restaurant that had burgers, was too packed - too long of a wait... it sucked. So just got that milkshake instead.

my friend decided to get a burger at this fast food place.. and when he went and picked up his burger, this dude & his friend confronted him and accused him of stealing their burger.. it was nuts.. then they came at me for filming it.. so we literally had to get ready to fight over some fast food burger mixup. It was really stupid. I was filming it just in case they attacked my two friends which would have resulted in my friends having to defend themselves - i figured i'd get some video evidence.. I explained this to them while being cautious, just trying to diffuse the situation. I think they ended up being more angry at me for filming them, than them thinking my friend stole their hamburger. lmao.. I normally don't film like that when something "pops off" but since it was 4 of us and 2 of them, I figured I would.

all this happened at a damn "old company" reunion of sorts..

anyway we got some serious laughs out of it after it was all over with.. my friend is basically now called the hamburgler. tuco.
