I have always liked what deadlifts have done for my speed in sprinting and how it reduces GCT in both two foot and single leg vertical jump for me but I find that deadlifting is just very hard for me to recover from. So my normal pattern when doing deadlifts is deadlift 2-3 weeks see pretty good gains but then see performance  reductions and stop. When you guys do deadlifts do you notice that you can recover from them? That they are effective training tool in your toolbox? Is the large tax on your CNS and body worth the potential gains?

Dude first thing your back squat form looks really good keep it up. On the 315 squat I swear you could have hit it! You really need to accelerate the weight up throughout the whole motion it seems like once you got it out of the bottom ROM you stopped accelerating the weight leading to you getting pinned.. just my two cents. Good work!

For those who have them are they worth it? I'm thinking about getting a pair probably the VS's if anything.

Progress Journals & Experimental Routines / Re: THE DREAM JOURNAL
« on: July 11, 2011, 05:15:37 am »
I have some really crazy dreams so I figured I'd start posting a few. This is a funny one

Aight so i was doing some homework (gay summer course) and listening to like nature sounds and shit to get relaxed before I went to bed and I also was posting my workout so that could have contributed.

I'm in some kind of tropical rainforest... and Adarq is under a waterfall standing on a solid rock platform, in his usually workout gear squatting to parallel with a huge rock on his back. I proceed to ask why Adarq is going so low because he half squats all the time and adarq tells me he is just trying it out and then throws the rock off his back and jumps into the stream that the water fall is connected too and starts to swim off....

Dream fades to me looking at a map and eventually I want to move to the states so Adarq tells me that rent prices are really cheap in Florida right now (which they probably aren`t) and tries to convince me to move to Florida

Woke up and I was like wtf lol.

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Quick question about bounds
« on: July 08, 2011, 01:28:30 am »
Hey Lance I've been doing your bound program you have posted up here and its working great but i'm a little confused on how to do the single leg bounds

For the single leg bounds i it LRLRLRLRLR or is it LLLLLLLLLLLLL then RRRRRRRRRRR? Do we alternate legs after every single bound or do full sets of bounds on one leg and then switch to the other?

Thanks

Basketball / Re: Taylor Allan has legit programs
« on: July 06, 2011, 01:48:49 pm »
I actually kinda agree his prolific shooting program is pretty legit and i'm assuming his other programs are ok. What is not ok is pimping out your programs which is one of the main reasons taylor allan is annoying.

I thought it was good not great like the first one but most def better than the last 2.

So I do the intensive bounds until I see a drop off in performance?

I like this idea I think it would work as long as you don't go mental. Just try to increase your run up speed until its fast.
