VJB juts helps you identify your weakness and then shows you how to train it in a good way -> better than any of the other programs

I like VJB because it has tons of good information but I read on KellyB's article that the test that involves Depth Jump to assess plyometric ability may not be so good after all. There are some people who lack the coordination to do depth jump at first so that test could not be reliable. Did you hear that there will be VJB 2.0? What do you think is in that?

PVC pipe will work but be CAREFUL with it. Don't do anything that causes you genuine pain. I've made that mistake and it's just dumb. If something really hurts, find a way to work around it or to lessen the pressure.

Serious pain during SMR usually backfires.

Thanks! But what is SMR? ;D

Read some of the reviews made by Jack Woodrup on those programs in these links:
for Jump Manual: http://www.verticaljumping.com/jump_manual.html
for vertFreak: http://www.verticaljumping.com/vert_freak.html
for Flying in Four: http://www.verticaljumping.com/flying_in_four.html

I recommend VertFreak cause I like the work-outs, I'm currnetly in week 5, but it is time consuming and hard. But I believe I'll have massive gains from this product. Flying in Four is a potential scam. VJB has lots of nice information but the work-outs are a little outdated.

so hard work and getting stronger can get outdated???

what has the world become... :uhhhfacepalm:

I'm sorry but I didn't say something like that and I didn't mean what you stated. I mean the combination of work-outs are not that up to date and there are more effective combinations of work-outs out there. Besides, VJB was made around 2004 (?).

Doing VJB needs hard work especially the bodyweight work-out.

I know because I always used to get that since I jump off my left leg and the right leg I pull it up (the knee), so it kind of gets inflammed sometimes...

It's interesting, on a separate note, I don't know how many people know that the ITB actually helps extend the knee, although one of it's attachement points is at the hip.

Thanks. The massage at that area worked! Don't have a foam roller though, its not very popular here. So I'll by a PVC Pipe! Hope that works! Will PVC Pipe work? :D

Not enough information...

Sorry for the lack of information, I wish this could help. When I twist my waist without moving my right foot, I feel a sharp pain. The pain is in the rightest side of my hip, just below the hip bone (I'm not sure if it is called that way but it is the bone that seperates the core and the lower body.) and I think it is a sprain on the tendons on that area due to sprinting up hill. And last week I felt tightness on my groin area after doing the uphill sprints.

Is the pain close to that "boney" structure in your hip? Because it might be a tight illio-tibial band. In that case, you need to foam roll the side of the quad (the ITB, actually).

Search for ITB foam rolling on youtube.
It is near the bony structure or where the bone connects on my hip. I'll try to foam roll thanks!

After my up hill sprints, I got a little pain at my right side of my hip but didn't bother me that much. But the next day after doing the tempo runs and Burpees my Hip started to ache so much. I could walk but some angles made by my leg could cause me severe pain. What rehabilitation techniques could you advise me? I really want to continue my training but at this rate and at this pain, It's impossible. Please help.... :(

Meh! Power Balance is a shit hype. Anyone who wears them wants to get strong and fast without training hard. And they are lazy and rich asses. More and more people want shortcuts to everything. They want to jump high without working hard. They want to get lean within 6 minutes. They want to be successful without bearing all the pain that life hits on you. That's why they are easily scammed.

What part of the butt should go sore when you do the squat? The whole butt or only the lower part?

Thanks for all of your advices! ;D I'll now try to add 2 glute activation exercises, namely glute bridges then hip thrusts, with 2 stets of 5 reps each(?? not sure??) before doing the bulgarian split squat and the half squat. I hope I'll feel my glutes later in my work-out! ;)
